💬 Why she loves PT: “After coming to Batson years ago for my own PT, I witnessed a fun and uplifting environment full of therapists that loved their job and cared for their patients above all else. I enjoyed watching patients improve and realized I also wanted to be someone who had a positive impact in a patient’s rehabilitation journey. Little did I know after getting accepted into the program and working hard throughout school that the Lord would lead me to work right where my love for PT began!”

Alisha is originally from Lakeland, FL, but has always been drawn to a slower pace of life - somewhere with a true small town charm and kind-hearted people.

⭐ Staff Spotlight: Meet Dr. Jake Cain, PT, DPT

Jake was born and raised here in Wiggins. He came back to Stone County when he graduated school and lives here with his wife, Emily, and their 3.5 year old Twin Boys.

👨‍⚕️Role at Batson PT: Physical Therapist
🎓 Education & Training: Jake graduated from MSU with a BS in Kinesiology in 2019. He went on to graduate from UMMC with his Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2022.
🏃 Favorite way to stay active: Jake (prior to tearing his ACL in April 🤪) loves to train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at Good Fight Dojo here in Wiggins
💡 Fun fact: Jake was the president of a club that hosted regular competitive video game tournaments while at Mississippi State!
💬 Why he loves PT: Jake is passionate in his belief that there’s no better way to help others become the best version of themselves and reduce chronic pain than physical therapy! He loves equipping others to solve their own problems and hopes you never need him again after discharge (unless you just want to say hi)!
