The Virginia Emergency Nutrition Assistance (VENA) uses the same EBT cards to the same beneficiaries as SNAP. Benefits are delivered weekly instead of monthly and are funded by Virginia's state budget surplus instead of federal funds. To learn more about VENA visit https://dss.virginia.gov/

Friendly reminder to anyone affected by the government shutdown. We have so many meals paid for already by other locals and businesses. These meals are paid for, and are given out no questions asked and no judgment given(under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian) as long as we have them. No one should ever have to wonder where their food is coming from!

We will also be starting a free “food pantry” right in the lobby of the restaurant. If you need something, grab it. If you can leave something, please do!

Do not make this post political. I will remove it immediately. That isn’t what this is about. This is about friends and families in our community who need community support. It’s here for anyone who needs it. Once the “pantry” is up and running we will post about it again. That will run through the entirety of the cold season.
