Hey guys! I took a completely unannounced social media breakโ€”in fact this will be a pretty permanent decision.

I wish I could say that I can easily balance homeschooling, staying active on social media and running a small business.

But the truth is: I cannot.

I am in a season of life where I have to be brutally honest with myself, especially when it comes to managing my time and prioritizing what I feel is most important. And right now that looks a lot like educating my children at Home and spending quality time with my loved ones.

I enjoy the semi-connection that social media brings but I value in person connection much more.

Adding our 5th little one to our crew has been such a Blessing and I have thoroughly soaked up all those sweet newborn daysโ€ฆthey are so fleeting. I am still adjusting to life with our newest baby and working hard to find a good balance with a baking routine.

That being said, I realize with children in the mix, itโ€™s unrealistic for me to have a concrete schedule. I am in this season of life where I have to ride out the waves and we are constantly adjusting.

I am so thankful for all the messages that I have received about when I will be baking again and I promise you, it is in the works. ๐‘ท๐’๐’†๐’‚๐’”๐’† ๐’‹๐’–๐’”๐’• ๐’ƒ๐’†๐’‚๐’“ ๐’˜๐’Š๐’•๐’‰ ๐’Ž๐’† ๐’‚๐’” ๐‘ฐ ๐’˜๐’๐’“๐’Œ ๐’•๐’๐’˜๐’‚๐’“๐’…๐’” ๐’‡๐’Š๐’๐’…๐’Š๐’๐’ˆ ๐’‚ ๐’ˆ๐’๐’๐’… ๐’ƒ๐’‚๐’๐’‚๐’๐’„๐’†. This has been heavy on my heart, so I thought I would share some thoughtsโ€ฆ

Starting Rooted Traditions has brought me so much fulfillment. I often hear, โ€œI donโ€™t know how you do it!โ€ And my answer is always simple: โ€œI do it, because I love it.โ€ I have always loved to bake. It is therapeutic for me. I was diagnosed with ADD in college and baking has always been an outlet for me. It brings me calm and focus that I do not find in other areas of my life.

However, there is another aspect of my business that I have come to love just as much but I wasnโ€™t quite prepared forโ€”and thatโ€™s the attachment that I feel for The People that I bake for. Over the last several months I have built relationships with people I had never even met before. We have spent 10 minutes here and 10 minutes there chatting while I deliver fresh baked goods. And those moments have added up to create deeply meaningful connections.

If I have had the pleasure of baking for you, know that itโ€™s you I am referring toโ€”each and every one of you. Thank you for your time and your support. Your understanding. The laughs and light heartedness. It truly bring me so much Joy and I cannot wait to bake for you all again!
