Now is the time for workers to unite to confront Trump and the billionaires’ attack on our wages, benefits, programs, and democratic rights. The People’s Summit will bring together our diverse resistance for a day-long conference of education and training. It will include panels and workshops on everything from getting your union strike ready to organizing the unorganized, defending migrant rights, and taxing the rich to pay for programs, housing, and jobs.

Whether you are a union member, an experienced organizer, or someone who is just wondering how they can get more involved in the fight, save the date for the People’s Summit to share your perspectives and learn from others. You can find more information about the Summit, look over the panels workshops, and register for the conference IN OUR BIO!!! More information to come soon. Hope to see you there!

MAY DAY 2025 was a success! Over 2500 people took to the streets last Thursday, May 1st for International Workers Day to let the world know the power lies with us, not the people in power.

We stood in solidarity as we stated truth: we will protect not only our rights but the rights of fellow immigrant workers and union members. An injury to one is an injury to all! That is why marched to the ICE data center and joined for their Milk With Dignity campaign.

Labor must lead this struggle in tandem with other working class organizations. The people united will never be defeated!

MAY DAY 2025 is just around the corner and YOU should be there. JOIN US May 1st, 2025 to unite and fight for our collective liberation!!!

This May Day, we will STAND UP for workers and immigrants. We will MARCH past the ICE Data Center in Williston. We will PICKET with Migrant Justice at Hannaford Supermarkets. We will show the town of Williston, the state of Vermont, the nation, the world that WE WILL NOT BACK DOWN!

We have come so far since winning the 8-hour work day on the first May Day in 1886. Now, with Trump’s administration’s war on workers, it’s necessary for us to mobilize. Bring yourself, your coworkers, your friends!!

“Howard Center Union Workers: Poverty Wages & Right-To-Work Must Be Brought To An End!

Howard Center is, ‘…committed to individual and collective well-being and success’ according to the Agency’s website. Meanwhile, the Agency’s Board of Trustees seeks to diminish our union’s collective bargaining rights and has shamefully proposed a 0.60% COLA for over 280 of the already lowest-paid direct service workers who do some of the most physically intensive work. How is the Agency living up to its commitment to collective well-being when it insists on an inadequate pay raise and continued union-busting, right-to-work, practices into yet another collective bargaining agreement?’

Op-Ed by President Andy Blanchet in reference to our ongoing contract negotiations with
