Today, Gio and I ventured down to the Ganges.
It was absolutely breathtaking and you can feel why it’s considered such a powerful force. There’s something ancient and alive there, like the river is constantly whispering stories if you’re willing to listen. I can’t wait to go back and sit with it.
On our walk back, we passed a sound healing store… and yes, you already know what happened next. Of course I went in. What I didn’t expect was that we’d spend over half of our day there and that it would completely shift how I think about sound healing.
The healer we met was incredible. From the very beginning, he was telling us what the sound bowls were saying about us, and it was eerily accurate. Accurate enough that Gio, who is usually pretty hesitant about energy work, was instantly pulled in. When Gio trusts someone right away, I pay attention.
He worked with us through sound, teaching me techniques I’ve never encountered before, and doing deep healing in the process. At one point, Gio just laughed in disbelief because the healer somehow picked up on everything including my mild food poisoning.
We honestly had so much fun. By the end, Gio jokingly (but also kind of seriously) asked him to come to the U.S. and work at our shop. Sorry folks, his family has owned the shop for many generations and he won’t be coming to North Dakota.
I am so excited to come home and integrate these new sound healing techniques. And yes… I may or may not be bringing back a whole new set of instruments with me, so expect to be joining me for some awesome experiences!
This trip continues to surprise me in the best ways. Tomorrow is back to training.
