This last weekend I was at the Spirit Expo in Rapid City, South Dakota, and I have to say that I just love it there. There’s something about South Dakota that always feels grounding and welcoming, but Rapid City in particular has this fun little moment for me every time I arrive. Seeing the big Hotel Alex Johnson sign never gets old. I swear, the moment I see it, I feel like I’ve made it. Like I am the one with places named after him.
But beyond the laughs, it really was such a great weekend. The energy at the expo was incredible like always, with so many people coming together with open minds and open hearts. I had the honor of being one of the speakers, and I got to share about spirit guides.
Talking about guides is always special because it’s not just information to me. It is lived experience and connection. It’s helping people realize they’re not alone, that there is support and guidance available to them in ways they may not have even considered yet. It’s this type of work that makes my heart sing.

When I was in India, one of the things that really surprised me was learning some new ways bells are used in sound healing and spiritual practice. It’s amazing how something so simple can hold such powerful energy.
These beautiful bells, handcrafted in Nepal, have long been used by Tibetan Buddhist monks during ceremonies and spiritual practices. When rung, they create a clear, resonating tone that helps clear negative energy, center the mind, and deepen meditation.
Today, bells are widely used by yoga teachers, meditation groups, and holistic practitioners to open and close sessions, shift energy in a space, and help bring people back into presence. The sound naturally encourages relaxation and focus.
