1. ๐Œ๐จ๐ฏ๐ž ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐›๐จ๐๐ฒ! It doesnโ€™t mean you have to go lift weights for hours or lift weights at all. If you want to take dance classes, do that. If you want to do a group exercise class or go on a hike, do that. Anything to get your body moving and grooving. โฃ

2. ๐ƒ๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ค ๐ฆ๐จ๐ซ๐ž ๐ฐ๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ซ. Yes I am looking at you who drinks only 2 cups a dayโ€ฆ Our body needs water to survive- dehydration isnโ€™t pretty. Hell no. Start slow and slowly implement more water into your day as the time goes on.

3. ๐„๐š๐ญ ๐ฆ๐จ๐ซ๐ž ๐Ÿ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ข๐ญ๐ฌ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฏ๐ž๐ ๐ ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ! Letโ€™s be real, I highly doubt we all get the recommended daily allowance of fruits and veggies (which btw is 1.5-2.5 c of fruit depending on your age/gender and 2.5-4 cups of veggies per Myplate). Find ways to sneak some veggies in your meals-adding greens to your smoothies/shakes, adding greens in your eggs, roasting veggies and making bowls with them, etc. SO many options!!:) especially now that itโ€™s almost summer- there are so many wonderful fruit options in season. I mean, ๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ญ๐˜ญ๐˜ฐ ๐˜ด๐˜ต๐˜ณ๐˜ข๐˜ธ๐˜ฃ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ฆ๐˜ด?! :) โฃ

4. ๐‹๐ข๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐š๐ฆ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐œ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ž๐ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐จ๐๐ฌ. No I am not saying to cut out all of your processed foods- I mean hello, bread is processed and it makes for a great pre or post workout carb option! Iโ€™m simply saying just replace some of your processed foods with whole foods. Think of replacing your chicken nuggets with fresh chicken you can air fry or bake in the oven. โฃ

5. Last but not least- ๐’๐‹๐„๐„๐. Sleeping is truly one of the best medicines we have available to us. Our body canโ€™t keep going without rest- so if youโ€™re one of those people who thinks โ€˜sleep is for the weakโ€™, well, itโ€™s going to make you weak one of these days:p โฃ

Veggies are going to have more vitamins and minerals than say- pizza or even a donut. โฃ

It just means you shouldnโ€™t eat them AS often as you would eat veggies because they are higher in saturated fats and calories as a whole. โฃ

But by all means go have a pizza night or a ๐˜ฅ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ถ๐˜ต date *smiling face*โฃ
& then balance it out with a good protein source and veggies and boom- I introduce you to the ๐›๐š๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐œ๐ž I preach about on a daily basis. โฃ

Hello and welcome to Purely Balanced Nutrition:)
for everyone here who doesnโ€™t know, my name is Kayla Williams, owner and CEO of Purely Balanced Nutrition, LLC.

I have a B.S. in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Nutrition & Dietetics. I recently completed my dietetic internship (required to sit for the Registered Dietitian Exam) and built up my business, (PBN for short) last August.

My dream has been to help people such as yourself make nutrition SIMPLE.

Sadly, in grade school there is close to no nutrition education taught- and that just plain SUCKS.

As a result of this, there are SO many people who have little to zero knowledge about nutrition and the connection to our long-lasting health.

As another result, the nutrition education that is โ€˜learnedโ€™ is from social media or from the unfortunate occurrence of FAD diets.

We all know where FAD diets lead usโ€ฆ to a destructive and never-ending cycle of losing and gaining weight with again, no actual nutrition education.

My goal as a soon to be Registered Dietitian and current nutrition coach, is to help individuals such as yourself overcome the cycle of gaining and losing and to instead, LEARN all about nutrition so you are able to take back your health. (or just improve it!)

I genuinely WANT my clients to leave me with the knowledge and tools they need to be successful without me. I love teaching clients the ins and outs of proteins, carbs, and fats, how they affect our bodies, how to lose weight effectively and how to gain weight appropriately.

If youโ€™re curious about the โ€˜balancedโ€™ part of my business name, itโ€™s simple. My favorite food is a donut (hence the donut in my logo) and I believe everyone should be able to achieve their fitness and nutrition goals without having to fully restrict their favorite foods.

THAT is typically what causes individuals to revert back to their โ€˜old wayโ€™ of eating- when they feel like they arenโ€™t โ€œallowedโ€ to eat a particular food, they crave it more often and when they DO eat it, they feel guilty and it turns into a cycle of over-eating and feeling guilty.

That my friends, is not a lifestyle I personally want to live. How about YOU?
