You may have heard ivermectin mentioned in new ways lately.
🧬 Ivermectin shows pre-clinical anti-cancer activity across multiple cancer types . In early laboratory and animal studies, ivermectin has shown cell death or damage in certain cancer cells, including breast, leukemia, colorectal, and esophageal cancers. It has shown promise against pancreatic cancer in laboratory studies.
Researchers have found that ivermectin may help by:
• Encouraging apoptosis (a process where unhealthy cells are signaled to safely die)
• Supporting autophagy (the body’s natural “cell cleanup” system)
• Helping the immune system better recognize cancer cells
• Influencing pathways involved in inflammation, cell growth, and immune balance
Some studies suggest ivermectin may work best alongside other treatments, such as immunotherapy.
⚠️ What’s important to know:
These results are preclinical, meaning they have not yet been proven in large human trials. Ivermectin is not currently an approved cancer treatment.
