Hello friends. I’m seeking some items for a single postpartum mom of 5 who birthed just last month. I am working with her as a postpartum doula through CFAD’s scholarship program. If you’re interested in contributing to the cost of or have any of these gently used items below to pass along, please let me know so I can arrange to pick up.

~ size 2 diapers
~ vacuum
~ Little Tikes indoor trampoline with fold-away handle
~ gift cards for groceries (She is concerned about the possible impact of the shutdown on SNAP.)
~ any support or resources for help with November’s rent (due by 11/10 and is in Pender county)

As doulas, our goal is to provide non-biased, evidence-based support and education during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Through the CFAD Doula Support Scholarship, we provide birth doula or postpartum doula support services to local pregnant people in need. We sincerely believe that doula access is a reproductive justice issue and that all birthing bodies deserve to be well-supported and informed during their childbearing year.
We are now accepting rolling applications on a first-come basis. Any local pregnant or postpartum person who resides in New Hanover county or in one of the surrounding counties is invited to apply for this needs-based scholarship if they are seeking:

~ birth doula support
~ postpartum doula support
Preference for awards for professional doula support will be given to low-income families, single parents, and birthing or postpartum people facing hardships.
