Packing adequate filling and energizing foods for a day at work / on the go is VITAL to staying on track with your health goals and feeling your best while you get things done. ✨ See anything you’d add to your next lunchbox for a day out of the house? As a dietitian I always prioritize carbs, fiber, protein, healthy fats, and vitamins and minerals. Don’t forget lots of fluids too! Bringing water with you on the go is the first step to being successful with drinking it 😉 All of these components will help support your needs for energy, satisfaction, gut health, hydration, heart health, and hopefully happiness too🤗

A balanced lunch mid-blizzard to fuel me for shoveling (and entertaining two kids all day and night 😵‍💫😂). I enjoyed a chicken salad sandwich on whole wheat bread, a sumo orange, and some truffle chips. This combo hit the spot and provided a great balance of macronutrients (carbs, protein, healthy fats), along with plenty of fiber, vitamins, and minerals.

Also - Swipe to see a pic of the sneaky little 9 month old chip swiper that snuck into my photoshoot and almost knocked it all to the floor lol. 😏

Let’s go back… back to the beginning… Ok maybe not the actual beginning but if you understand the reference we should be friends. Jumping on the 2016 trend here and reminiscing over the early days of Eating with a Dietitian when we were using filters and wearing metallic mirror sunglasses. I started this page a few years before this, simply because I enjoyed sharing pics of food and teaching others about the nutrition benefits of yummy things. I literally used to share pics of my meals with friends and family on my personal page in albums 😂 then learned about this new app and was like woah - a perfect place to organize all my food posts! This was before it was the cool thing to do, before I ever saw other food pages, before influencers, algorithms, partnerships… I just shared what I ate and talked about why. I miss those simpler ig days. I feel like I always want to go back to posting in that simple, straight to the point way but this app has a way of convincing you that you have to post certain things a certain way in order to earn views, so it’s easy to feel pressured to post inauthentically if that makes sense. Anyway - I hope you enjoy reminiscing these fun 2016 posts with me, and if you’re one of the og followers who was supporting my page with likes since way back then, thank you. 🫶🏼

How long have you been following my page?!

A delicious grab and go combo for a boost of fiber-rich carbs (including prebiotic fiber to feed the good bacteria in your gut), protein, and FLAVOR! This is a great pairing for fuel on the go that will last and support your gut health. Let me know if you try it!

Ordering takeout isn’t going to automatically negatively impact your health… CONSISTENTLY undereating the nutritious foods your body needs daily along with overeating processed foods is what will overtime negatively impact your health. Here’s my simple tip for balancing your diet when ordering takeout for a simple meal 🍽️
