Made a custom pair for someone special… ME 🤩

I find myself only gifting jewelry to me that isn’t quite up to par with what I’d sell. The “rejects,” if you will. (Any business owners relate? 😅)

But this was my little wake-up call. Why do we give everyone else our best… and keep the leftovers for ourselves?

This is your PSA to give yourself the same quality you give to others. The same intention. The same excellence. The same beauty.

What do you do outside of what you do? 👀
There’s more to me than what I create, sell, or pour out for others. 🤍
I love hanging out with my hubby, whether we are going out to do something fun or staying in to binge TV, play board games, or have deep conversations. I love trying new things like fun ways to exercise (this bungee fitness class way soo fun). I love learning new things like crocheting. I love being a dog mom.

These moments remind me that joy doesn’t only live in our work or our purpose for other people.
🫵🏽 You’re allowed to have a life outside of what you do. Make room for joy NOW not “when things slow down” 🤗

In honor of Black History Month, I’m highlighting one of my favorite “peaces”: the Cowrie Shell Charm Earrings! 😍 These are symbols of value, protection, and legacy rooted in African culture and each pair is created with intention, history, and love. 🖤

I’m so grateful for the legacy of Black innovators who created beauty with limited resources, we are indeed a resilient group. This heritage will continue that story through my hands and my community. Happy Black History Month! ✊🏽

I can’t say that it’s been my story that an internship has turned into a consistent job, but I am thrilled to provide that for an awesome member of my team! 🎉

Courtney joined me last year as my administrative intern at a pivotal time in my business, where I realized I was getting swamped with important but delegable tasks. I had to stay focused on my role as the visionary of Perennial Peaces.

📖 I’m still learning a lot about the Gen Z generation in the workforce (omg, I feel old 😅) but Courtney showed up to get things done and I feel so blessed! 🙏🏽

It was only right that she transitioned from being my intern to my assistant!

🫶🏽To my fellow business owners, if you feel like you don’t have it all together to hire help, I promise you do. There were plenty days I felt scrambled but as long as you’re clear about your goals, you can execute leadership! You aren’t meant to do this alone. Help me congratulate Courtney on her newest role within Perennial Peaces. If you have any questions about internships/assistants, just reach out to me, I’m an open book!

Previous attendees said, “This was a wonderful way to launch (the year)! The Blueprint workshop is a Visionboard workshop, but with the plan to get there. It was a comfortable space with a lovely group who hadn’t met before today.
