Just hanging out with my Daddy. I mean he’s not grown at all! Seriously this kid needs to stop growing I just bought him all new clothes and at this rate I’m gonna have to buy a bunch more

Let me introduce you to Steve Irwin the OG Crocodile 🐊 Hunter, but we put his name on his shirt, they had trunk or treat at school towards the end of the day. These are the pics he let me take then he wanted the shirt off. But he has said twick or tweet all day. He’s been getting sick first thing in the morning, he just looks at food and start to gag, I’ve had to get creative to get his meds taken so he doesn’t throw them up. I’ve had to explain to school we need to come up with a plan if he gets sick at school because sending him home every time he does even though he isn’t “sick” per say isn’t going to cut it. He missed field trip yesterday they made me come get him because he was gagging looking at food. I’ve told them if he gags just remove it, it seems out of sight out of mind with it. I understand they were going to a play and didn’t want to risk him getting sick there. I just hate that he misses so may cool events from being sent home. It breaks mommas heart

This boy starts chemo Tuesday evening! It will be delivered by the speciality pharmacy during the day! Please pray for some kind of normalcy, and that we don’t have too many side effects! They took this pic at school Friday! OMG so cute I can’t

We have to figure out Halloween Costumes for Liam that doesn’t have a mask, hat, or anything really thats different then normal clothes. Anyone want to take a a guess what Liam is going to be this year!? I have to add some things to it but Daddy was proud of himself for coming up with this one! Cause I was looking at the same old same old astronaut, firefighter, police man etc

On Monday I was deflated, panicky, didn’t really tell anyone, but insurance denied Liam’s chemo medication. Stated not a medical necessity???? What?! Basically you are looking at a form and you sit at a desk chose yes or no. Well our amazing team requested a peer to peer review at 2 pm yesterday, got an email at 8 am this morning that after the peer to peer review his chemo has been approved! Thank goodness! Cause I was starting to stress out that he wasn’t going to be able to be on that medication. As much as I don’t want him to be on another chemo medication, it’s what he needs! God is Good, All the time! Here’s some photos from last week at school! His school had the Maitland firefighters and a fire truck come to school and they got to see all the things! Then on Friday he got to golf! (Which I don’t think he enjoys because every week he says “no golf “⛳️)

Liam has been non stop talking, running thru his vocabulary, but look at that eye contact and attentiveness. This boy is even speaking Spanish words! We’ve learned he is a gestalt language processor meaning hr learns language in chunks of words rather than one single word at a time. The more I have researched it, it makes so much more sense. He does exactly what they describe. So for learning to speak more it’s about the melody and tone. So instead if saying “Liam get your shoes on” we should almost sing the phrase “let’s get our shoes on” it makes more sense to him. He doesn’t always know what the phrase means but that comes later when he breaks it down as he learns. If you have not heard of it, don’t feel bad I didn’t either and Liam’s been in speech therapy forever etc now we know more at home how to help him.

Well it’s official with approval by neurologist and neuro oncologist Liam is trying Leucovorin as of today. We have no expectations but really am willing to try anything to make things easier on him.
