Did you know? You can see an Occupational Therapist without a referral in Wisconsin!

That means:
āœ”ļø Faster access to care
āœ”ļø No waiting for additional appointments
āœ”ļø Earlier treatment = better outcomes

Whether you're dealing with:
• Shoulder, elbow, wrist, or hand pain
• Difficulty with daily tasks
• Post-surgical recovery
• Work-related or ergonomic issues

Our Occupational Therapist at Pinnacle is here to help you get back to doing what matters most—sooner.

šŸ’™ Parkinson’s Awareness Month Spotlight šŸ’™

Did you know there is a Parkinson’s-specific exercise class right here in Wisconsin Rapids at the South Wood County YMCA?

This class is designed to help individuals with Parkinson’s improve mobility, balance, strength, and overall confidence through guided, functional exercise in a supportive group setting. Classes are every Wednesday from 12:00-12:50. Reach out to the South Wood County YMCA for more information.

šŸ‘ We’re proud to share that our very own Dr. Heather McCarthy helps lead this class alongside another local physical therapist—bringing expert care and a passion for helping others stay active and independent.

Exercise is one of the most powerful tools for managing Parkinson’s—and having a local, supportive community makes all the difference.

šŸ“ Check out the video to see local participants in action!

šŸ’™ At Pinnacle Performance Therapy, we’re proud to support our community both inside and outside the clinic.

Orthoses aren’t one-size-fits-all! Different orthoses support different joints, motions, and goals—from pain relief, to protection, to improving functional movement.

In this video, you’ll see how a thumb spica orthosis helps position the thumb for improved stability and function during daily tasks. Small changes in positioning can make a big difference in comfort and control!

Do you deal with hand or wrist pain? Wonder if an orthosis could help you? Reach out to us now to get set up with our upper extremity expert!

šŸ„ŠšŸ’™ Parkinson’s Awareness Month Spotlight šŸ’™šŸ„Š

At Pinnacle Performance Therapy, we believe in working hard, supporting one another… and having a little fun along the way!

As part of our Rock Steady Boxing program, our athletes took on a challenge:
šŸ‘‰ How many punches can you throw in 1.5 minutes?

Let’s just say… the energy was HIGH and the competition was REAL šŸ˜„

šŸ† Congratulations to our champion, Mike R., who threw an incredible 331 punches in 1.5 minutes! šŸ†

An amazing effort—and a great example of the strength, determination, and resilience we see every day from individuals living with Parkinson’s.

Events like this aren’t just about competition—they’re about building confidence, improving movement, and celebrating every win (big or small).

šŸ’™ We’re proud of all of our Rock Steady Boxing participants for showing up, pushing themselves, and supporting each other.

Interested in joining the fun (and the fight)?
