Our residents at Cranberry Court Assisted Living had the absolute BEST time getting their caricatures done by the incredibly talented Tom Schmidt — aka The Funny Drawing Guy! Each sketch captured not just a face, but a whole lot of personality and joy.

🎬🍿 Today, our Cranberry Court team gathered for a private screening of Still Alice. Shout out to Roger's Cinema in Wisconsin Rapids - we are incredibly grateful to them for hosting such a meaningful evening! It was more than a movie night - it was an opportunity to pause, reflect, and deepen our understanding of what so many individuals and families live with every day.

"My yesterdays are disappearing, and my tomorrows are uncertain, so what do I live for? I live for each day."
That line from Still Alice stayed with us long after the screen went dark. 💔

Alzheimer’s and dementia are not about stubbornness.
They are not about someone “not trying.”
They are about loss, fear, and a world that no longer feels familiar.

When information slips away, the person is still there. That truth matters. It changes how care is given. It reminds caregivers to slow down, to speak gently, to meet repetition with patience and confusion with compassion. It reinforces that dignity is not tied to memory and love should never be conditional. 💕

For families walking this journey, know this: your loved one deserves to be seen beyond the diagnosis. They deserve kindness when words are lost, reassurance when moments feel uncertain, and care rooted in empathy and humanity.
We are honored to serve individuals living with memory loss, and deeply proud of the caregivers who choose every day to lead with heart. 💜

For many of our residents, Elvis wasn’t just a legend in history books. He was part of their generation. They watched him rise from a young performer into the King of Rock ’n’ Roll, hearing his songs on the radio, seeing him on television, and dancing along as his fame grew.
