Let’s talk about “cold & flu season!” When we look at the correlation between the time of year and everyone getting sick, it might be time to take a deeper look at what’s actually going on 🤔
Because, it’s not really a season: as our eating habits start to decline, we have the added stress of the holidays, and our access to the sun starts to decrease, our immune system starts to take a hit and everyone drops like flies!
Here’s some of our favorite ways to support your immune system this time of year:
🍁 Set Boundaries: be intentional this season with how you’re spending your time to protect your health, both physically and mentally
❄️ Get Adjusted: a fully functioning nervous system does nothing but SUPPORT your immune system
🍁 Supplement: add vitamin C and vitamin D to your daily routine as we start spending more time inside each day and lose access to the fresh air and sun
❄️ Move Your Body: we have a natural requirement to move! Make sure you’re moving every day, whether it’s at home, the gym, or at your job
🍁 Fuel Your Body: let’s call it the 80/20 rule. 80% of the time, let’s try and make better choices towards whole, nutritious food so that our body is properly fueled. That way, when we hit those holiday parties and family fun, the other 20% can relax a bit 😉
❄️ Let It Go: and last but not least, control what you can, let go of what you can’t. We tend to overwhelm ourselves with the weight of balancing plans and commitments, and it can be destructive on our mental health and immune system. Control what you can in the moment, let go of what you can’t!
