There are just two weeks left in 2025! And even though we are wrapping up the year, we want to take a moment to remind folks that they can make the holiday season brighter and healthier for many of their own neighbors and communities.

If you’re making gifts before December 31, consider one that breaks down barriers to much needed medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare for thousands of Rhode Islanders. Your contribution to Thundermist helps ensure individuals and families, whether they have no insurance or not enough coverage, can get the care they deserve.

The gift of health is priceless. Donate today at www.thundermisthealth.org/donate.

🥶 As temperatures decrease, health risks become greater within communities. Staying safe in the low temperatures means taking precautionary steps to prioritize your health and well-being. The Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency (RIEMA) has opened public heating centers for anyone needing shelter from low temperatures.

Respiratory virus season is here--and rates of flu, COVID, and RSV are all increasing. As we spend more time indoors with others during the holidays, it's a great time to get your flu shot and COVID booster if you haven't already. An RSV vaccine may be a good idea if you're an older adult or if you're pregnant. (Talk with a provider or pharmacist about it!)

If you're a Thunderimst patient, you can get your shots the next time you see your provider. Most pharmacies provide flu and COVID shots for free (whether through insurance or state programs). See more at https://health.ri.gov/flu.

Help keep yourself and others healthier as we head toward the height of flu season!

You have helped us get Giving Tuesday off to a great start! Thank you to everyone who has donated or shared a post on our behalf. There is still time to give the gift of health. A contribution of just $30, for example, provides an essential prescription medication to an uninsured patient.

Make your donation before midnight at www.thundermisthealth.org/donate.

It’s Giving Tuesday—the global day of generosity. Please help us meet (and hopefully exceed!) our fundraising goal of $2,000 today!

Your gifts will help provide medical, dental, and behavioral health services to people who are uninsured or underinsured. That’s more than 8,000 individuals, or 13% of Thundermist’s patients. For example: A gift of just $50 will cover the cost of a dental exam for a patient who does not have insurance.

You can make a contribution here: www.thundermisthealth.org/donate.

Thank you in advance for giving the gift of health!
