We’re excited to invite students and emerging leaders to apply for MAWOCC’s Volunteer Internship Program. This is a meaningful opportunity to support advocacy, leadership development, and coalition-building that centers the voices and experiences of women of color across Massachusetts.

Interns will contribute to MAWOCC’s core platforms:
• Political & Civic Leadership
• Health & Wellness
• Economic Power & Sustainability

📅 Internship Dates: January 20 – May 8

As we celebrate the holiday season, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you so much for your help and support throughout the year. Even though we are in particularly challenging times, our MAWOCC community remains strong and resilient. Thank you for being in solidarity with us. Your belief in the mission and vision of MAWOCC enabled us to have an amazing 10th year – a milestone year for the organization. Your kindness, donations, advocacy, volunteerism, in-kind gifts, partnerships, and participation in our programs, help to fuel our organization. I remain hopeful for the future, and we have some exciting announcements to share at our annual meeting and celebration on January 31, 2026. Hope to see you there! MAWOCC's Intergenerational Leadership Academy - Women of Color Program 3rd Cohort graduation, on Saturday, December 6th, 2025, was a tremendous success. It was filled with energy, inspiration, and powerful moments of reflection and celebration. The program brought together graduates, families, facilitators, board members, and advisory board members to honor the incredible achievements of this remarkable group of women.

The keynote address by Charlotte Golar Richie, who serves as MAWOCC's Advisory Board Chair, was truly unforgettable. Her speech was energizing, deeply inspiring, and served as a powerful call to action, reminding graduates of their responsibility to lead with purpose, courage, and integrity. She challenged the cohort to use their voices, claim their space, and continue building pathways for those who will follow.

The atmosphere in the room reflected pride, joy, and a strong sense of community, as each graduate was recognized for her dedication, growth, and leadership journey. The event not only celebrated accomplishments but also reinforced the collective commitment to advancing women of color as leaders, change agents, and advocates in their communities.
