Short bursts of "vigorous intense lifestyle physical activity" is beneficial for your health too. Know your limitations but starting with just one minute can be beneficial.
"VILPA19 refers to brief and sporadic (for example, up to 1 or up to 2 min long) bouts of vigorous-intensity physical activity done as part of daily living, such as bursts of very fast walking while commuting to work or moving from place to place, or stair climbing20."
Using data from wearable activity monitors, this study shows that short bursts of physical activity that are done as part of daily life activities and that are only 1 or 2 minutes in length are associated with lower mortality, similar to the effects of regular exercise.
