Union Bulletin Boards help build open and transparent lines of communication among union members. They help your membership stay up to date on important union-related issues and events. Kudos to Amy McCabe, EMT, and AFSCME Local 217-3 member, who decorated the local’s board posted in the Webster Garage so all members have access.

Vote-by-Mail changes to be aware of.

⚠️ IMPORTANT CHANGES TO VOTE-BY-MAIL IN OHIO ⚠️

A new law signed in December 2025 means mailed ballots must be received by Election Day. There is no longer a post-election grace window for your ballot to arrive. This means you should request your ballot early and return your completed ballot as soon as possible, either by taking it to the post office or putting it in your county ballot dropbox.

Good news: You can request your ballot for the May primary already! Request your absentee ballot early so that once early voting begins, your ballot will be one of the first ones mailed.

Request your ballot at https://www.ohiosos.gov/elections/voters/how-to-request-your-absentee-ballot/ or call your county Board of Elections.

The Akron region isn’t ready to say goodbye to the holiday season just yet. Members of AFSCME Local 958, Ahsland County JFS, shared photos of the throwback float they built. It was a stunning float that helped ring in the holidays for everyone who came out to enjoy the parade festivities. Great work!
