🌿 Gentle Daily Detox Support

Detox is so important… why you ask?

Because I said so… 😁

Just kidding… but not really.

With so many toxins constantly fed, sprayed, poured, injected, and breathed in, the body needs support more than ever.

And honestly… we the people: • don’t always eat right
• don’t exercise properly
• don’t move enough
• don’t keep our lymph moving
• don’t drink enough water

We have become a dehydrated, depleted society.

Then when we feel bad… people often reach for: ci******es 🚬
alcohol 🍷
energy pills 💊
sugar overload 🍩
trying to feel better… while the body is still asking for the basics.

Good news: the body already knows how to detox.

It just needs support 🌱

🌱 1. Hydration + Minerals
Water helps kidneys flush waste, but minerals help cells function properly.
Good options: • filtered water
• pinch of sea salt or trace minerals
• lemon water
• coconut water
• herbal teas
Hydrated cells = better energy.

🌱 2. Keep Lymph Moving
Your lymph system helps move waste out… but it does not have a pump. It moves when YOU move.
Helpful habits: • walking • stretching • rebounding • vibration plate • massage • dry brushing • deep breathing
Movement = drainage.

🌱 3. Eat Real Food
Good whole food makes your mouth happy and your body feel good.
Ultra processed “food” makes people: tired
sluggish
inflamed
foggy
Choose more: • greens • berries • healthy protein • healthy fats • herbs • fiber

🌱 4. Sweat + Circulation
Sweating supports elimination through skin.
Helpful support: • exercise • sauna • warm baths • red light therapy • sound bed relaxation
Circulation helps everything work better.

🌱 5. Calm the Nervous System
Stress slows healing.
Helpful tools: • prayer • quiet time • nature • breathwork • sound therapy • quality sleep
Detox is not about doing extreme things…
It is about giving the body what it needs consistently.
Small daily habits create big change 🌿
And yes… sometimes the most powerful “detox” is simply: drink water eat real food move your body calm your mind
Simple… but not always easy.

We're in such a diseased state... Balance is key. Bring it on back, baby! There have been many people diagnosed left with no hope. Change... If you want change, you must first change yourself. Who truly changes? It's so hard, or is it? 😵‍💫🧐 You can say all day long, 'I eat properly, I drink water, I exercise,' then I see you all eating a burger of 1,000 meats and fries made in seed oil with 100 ingredients, with a big fat poison Diet Coke and a candy bar. Sugar, we know what that does. How do you truly feel? Tired, sluggish, anxious, depressed, unhappy, sad, overweight, out of shape?or Happy, ecstatic, upbeat, energized, slim, trim, balanced, and relaxed? Come on yall. I can help you get there. If I can get on this journey you can too. Was i the only one? No im just the only one that talks about it.

The ancestors knew what they were doing.

Ancient & Traditional Uses of Alkaline Salts (similar to baking soda)

1. Digestive comfort & stomach acid balance
Many traditional cultures used alkaline mineral powders to calm stomach discomfort.
Examples:
Egyptians used natron (naturally occurring sodium carbonate/bicarbonate mix)
European folk medicine used “soda powders”
Early American settlers used “saleratus” (potassium bicarbonate)
Purpose: • relieve sour stomach
• ease indigestion
• reduce gas discomfort
2. Oral hygiene & teeth cleaning
Before commercial toothpaste, powders were used.
Common ingredients: • baking soda • charcoal • salt
Reason: alkaline powders help neutralize acids that affect enamel.
Still used today in some natural tooth powders.
3. Skin soothing & cleansing
Traditional bathing practices often included alkaline minerals.
Used for: • itching • insect bites • poison ivy • general skin cleansing • odor reduction
Similar to how people use: • mineral baths • clay baths • salt baths
4. Food preparation & preservation
Alkaline substances helped improve texture and digestibility of foods.
Examples: • softening beans • preparing hominy (nixtamalization used lime/calcium hydroxide) • improving rise in breads before commercial yeast • tenderizing tough foods
5. Cleaning & purification practices
Alkaline powders were valued because they: • cut grease • remove odors • soften water
Used for: • washing fabrics • cleaning cooking vessels • food preparation surfaces • hygiene
6. Early medicine support uses (1800s–early 1900s)
Historical medical texts show bicarbonate salts used to:
• support kidney comfort • ease urinary burning • calm stomach irritation • support recovery from dehydration when combined with salts • balance acid buildup in certain illnesses (under physician care)
Doctors often used simple mineral remedies because pharmaceutical options were limited.
7. Spiritual or symbolic cleansing traditions
Some cultures viewed mineral salts as purifying elements.
Salt and alkaline powders were used in: • bathing rituals • home cleansing practices • preservation rituals • preparation for ceremonies
Why ancestors valued it
In traditional thinking, balance was important: • acid vs alkaline • hot vs cold • tension vs relaxation
Alkaline minerals were seen as soothing and stabilizing.
Difference between ancestral use vs modern internet claims
Historically, these substances were used as supportive helpers, not miracle cures.
They were part of a larger lifestyle that included: • whole foods • movement • sunlight • fasting periods • herbs • mineral-rich diets • community support

I grow stevia its so sweet and so easy to grow. Just something I did add last year to my herbs. Green form plant non processed mixed with herbs makes a great addition to your teas in proportion. Everything we can do to get away from processed products is better for us. I bet I haven't used half a bag of sugar in over a year for my family bc I use honey maple syrup or no sugar where I can.

Those hormones yall..hormone disruptors..have yall noticed? Things have changed and its not bc its natural.

☠️ Common Yard Chemicals & Potential Health Concerns
1. Glyphosate (Roundup type w**d killers)
Used for: killing broadleaf w**ds & grass
Concerns being studied:
possible link to cancer (controversial but widely debated)
gut microbiome disruption
hormone interference
soil ecosystem damage
Extra issue: residues can remain on soil and plants.
2. 2,4-D (common lawn w**d killer)
Used for: dandelions, clover, broadleaf w**ds
Concerns:
nervous system irritation
possible endocrine effects
pets exposed on treated grass
3. Pyrethroids (bug sprays)
Examples: permethrin, cypermethrin
Concerns:
toxic to cats and fish
nervous system effects in high exposure
may worsen asthma symptoms
toxic to beneficial insects like bees
4. Neonicotinoids (systemic insecticides)
Used for: grubs, aphids, plant pests
Concerns:
linked to bee population decline
persists in soil & water
absorbed into plant tissue
⚠️ How Exposure Happens
Even when used “correctly,” exposure can occur through:
• skin contact while applying
• breathing mist or dust
• pets tracking residue indoors 🐾
• residue on shoes → inside carpets
• contaminated garden produce
• well water contamination
Children are at higher risk because they play on grass and put hands in mouth.
🌿 Lower-Toxic Alternatives for W**d & Bug Control
Natural W**d Control
✔ vinegar (20–30% horticultural strength)
✔ boiling water on cracks/driveways
✔ corn gluten meal (prevents w**d seeds)
✔ thick mulch barrier
✔ hand pulling after rain
Simple recipe
1 gallon vinegar
1 cup salt
1 tbsp dish soap
Spray directly on w**ds (avoid garden plants)
Natural Bug Control
✔ neem oil spray
✔ diatomaceous earth (food grade)
✔ cedar oil products
✔ beneficial nematodes (for grubs)
✔ mosquito dunks (Bti bacteria — targeted)

Chemicals oh my!
How body products enter the body
Skin is not an impenetrable barrier. Some substances can pass through, especially when: • applied daily
• left on skin for long periods
• applied to thin skin (face, underarms)
• combined with heat (showers)
• combined with pe*******on enhancers (alcohols, solvents)
Absorption amounts are usually small — but chronic exposure adds up.
Most discussed chemical groups in personal care
1. Parabens (preservatives)
Common names: • methylparaben • propylparaben •

butylparaben
Used in: • lotions • makeup • shampoo • face creams
Concern: Parabens can weakly mimic estrogen in lab studies.
Evidence: Human studies show mixed results. Current regulatory bodies consider typical cosmetic levels safe, but many consumers prefer to minimize.
Common alternative labels: "paraben-free"
2. Phthalates (fragrance stabilizers)
Often hidden under the word fragrance or parfum.
Used in: • perfumes • lotions • body wash • hair spray
Concern: Possible endocrine disruption.
Challenge: Companies are not required to list each fragrance chemical individually.
Lower exposure tip: Choose products labeled: • fragrance-free • essential oil scented (not perfect but usually lower phthalates)
3. Formaldehyde-releasing preservatives
Found in: • liquid soap • shampoo • nail polish • eyelash glue
Look for names like: • DMDM hydantoin • quaternium-15 • imidazolidinyl urea
Concern: Formaldehyde is a known carcinogen at higher exposures.
Cosmetic levels are typically low but many people avoid.
4. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) & Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES)
Used for foaming.
Found in: • shampoo • toothpaste • body wash
Concern: Skin irritation in sensitive people. Not considered carcinogenic but can disrupt skin barrier.
Good alternatives: • coco glucoside • decyl glucoside
5. Triclosan (antibacterial agent)
Previously common in antibacterial soaps.
Concern: Possible hormone disruption and antibiotic resistance.
Now restricted in many products but still appears occasionally.
6. Aluminum compounds (antiperspirants)
Examples: • aluminum chlorohydrate
Function: Blocks sweat ducts.
Concern: Hypothesized breast cancer link due to proximity to lymph nodes. Research has NOT proven a clear causal link.
Many still choose aluminum-free deodorants.
7. PFAS ("forever chemicals")
Used to make products: • waterproof • long-lasting • smooth feeling
Found in some: • foundations • mascara • sunscreen • lip products
Concern: Persistence in body and environment.
8. Oxybenzone (chemical sunscreen ingredient)
Concern: possible hormone disruption in high lab doses.
