Building your career will actually HELP you heal your anxiety.

I never thought of it before and always just thought I was a weirdo that loved personal development books.

But the truth is that my businesses and the effort I’ve put into learning from many different leaders and coaches during my business growth has helped me to heal more than I ever had imagined.

From these people I’ve learned:

👉🏻 a powerful morning routine WORKS
👉🏻 affirmations work
👉🏻 how to let go of old beliefs that are holding me back - like “I can’t own a business because I’m anxious.” 🤫
👉🏻 how to reframe negative thoughts throughout everyday

And on top of learning from each of my mentors the last 2 plus years, I’ve read the same teachings they have shared in many of the books I’ve read!

So the number 1 thing that ultimately helped me here was TRUST.

I trusted what they were saying was true and I bought into them entirely! I gave every coach my all to heal and fully committed to myself.

I didn’t have to do the guess work anymore because I had help. 💁🏼‍♀️

FACT: LOWERING ANXIETY & STRESS CAN MAKE YOU MORE MONEY. 💵

Just this month I felt “stuck”.

I was stressed and seemed to just be “going through the motions”, a feeling you probably know too well.

And I realized I was missing my passion and purpose suddenly.

My creative ideas had slowed or become non existent.

So that’s when I stopped forcing myself to keep working and created space.

✨I meditated more.

✨I did my tapping more.

✨I started eating better daily.

✨I began working out daily with my bike.

And you know what happened when my cortisol levels started to drop?

👉🏻The ideas came flooding in!

👉🏻I began feeling more confident again and had less self doubt than I had in a month.

👉🏻Those ideas are leading to more business and me being able to help even more women!

Because the women I’m working with in the EYA Mastermind this month are powerful and they are going to feel empowered in their own lives to help even MORE women!

SO YOU'VE NEVER DONE YOGA BEFORE?

I know that feeling.

I don't want to go to a yoga studio. Everyone will look at me.

My feet are dirty.

What do I wear?

I don't have a yoga mat.

I'm not flexible enough to do yoga.

1. These classes are held in the comfort of your own home. I.E. no time to travel to and from a studio. No need for a babysitter. Practice in your pjs! And it is your choice if you want the teacher to see you or not. 🙂

2. All the community and chit-chat before class as we have in the studio, but none of the physical presence as we are social distancing.

3. You will walk out of your living room and into the kitchen a more -mentally and physically- flexible person, GUARANTEED!

IS MOVING TO BALI OR SITTING ON A MOUNTAIN THE ONLY WAY TO FIND YOUR ZEN?

You know that feeling you have when you’re on vacation, and you don’t dare check your work emails.

When it comes to the last day before going home you kind of fall into a funk.

All semblance of self care that you had during a week of relaxation somehow goes right out the window as you return to your routine before vacation.

But it doesn’t need to be this way. And this moment of uncertainty is forcing us to slow down and readjust to find some structure.

Structure I am offering YOU right now, friends, is a morning self care routine.

▶️ Enjoy your breakfast and coffee without distractions. Notice the tastes and the sun shining.

▶️ Do something for your soul. Meditate, do yoga, or journal.

▶️ Read an inspiring book for 15 minutes before you start your day or listen to a podcast.

ANNOUNCING ONLINE YOGA & BARRE CLASSES

Beginning Tuesday evening, myself along with the teachers of Home Yoga & Barre will be sharing our LIVE classes from our regular schedule at the studio ONLINE to do our part in social distancing to stop the spread of coronavirus.

We would love the support in this as would the community.

These classes are unique as we will be able to connect on the platform like we would in person and you’ll receive direction from teachers if you choose to share video.

YOGA DECREASES ANXIETY

Over 79% of Americans say stress impacts their daily lives.

Anytime our body is in a state of stress - also known as NOT being in a state of balance or homeostasis - there is inflammation, greater pain issues are noticed, anxiety increases, and more.

However, when we practice yoga, deep breathing is often something also practiced and while we are moving lymphatic fluid around during physical postures, we are also stimulating the vagus nerve - aka Darth Vader. 😈

When we stimulate this nerve and are in the parasympathetic nervous system, we physically reduce our heart rate and blood pressure.

THE SCIENCE OF BREATHING...

It’s long been said that breathing exercises can reduce stress and anxiety, but HOW does this work?

▶️ After only minutes of breathing, your body increases the production of happy hormones like dopamine and serotonin.

These hormones are alkaline. Stress creates acid in the body, so when these alkaline hormones are at play, they help to neutralize the stress related acid and help the body heal.

▶️ Slow exhalation exercises used to stimulate the vagus nerve can reduce a whole bunch of issues! Get this - when the vagus nerve is NOT stimulated, that is when we have issues like insomnia, indigestion, anxiety, etc.

✔️ Eating meals at consistent times and snacking during the day often helps us to feel less scattered. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

✔️ SOMETHING is always better than eating nothing at times, whether its a super clean snack or a bag of cookies.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
