Excited to be speaking this December at the Advocacy Meeting in NYC. Should be a great opportunity to discuss barriers to patient care and surgeon partnership with patients, providers, health systems, and our government.

I was honored to be a guest on the Postcall Podcast this week. We spoke a lot about medicine and what keeps us motivated, as well as the challenges physicians face in the changing healthcare landscape. I also shared 5 tips that have kept me optimistic and excited about being a physician during my decade of medical training. Thanks to Dr. Emi Okamoto (a friend from my days ) for the opportunity to come on the pod! Link to the podcast in my bio.

A rainy day for the Philadelphia , but what a great event turnout. Great to see everyone getting out and staying active, but my favorite moment was what you’ll see in the last video posted here: a winning effort for para-athletics. Spinal cord injuries are not common - but there are an estimated 290,000 people in the USA living with this condition. The recovery is incredibly challenging and difficult to predict. Seeing these athletes retake control of their bodies and their destinies is a testament to modern medicine, rehabilitation, and most importantly: the human will! Feeling inspired, had to share.

I was excited to be invited to NuVasive headquarters in San Diego for a two day clinical professional development course. We spent full days in lecture and group discussion, with a great deal of time devoted to mastering minimally invasive procedures on cadavers. Looking forward to incorporating some of these techniques into my practice!
