UPDATE 11:20 PM: The air quality readings at Martha Coker are currently clear. The shelter in place has been lifted. Our staff has been advised to operate normally. Thanks for your prayers and patience.


We have been made aware of the chemical plant explosion that has taken place in Yazoo City.

EMA has advised us to shelter in place until they assess the situation. We currently have all Martha Coker elders and employees secure in their houses.

We have sister campus buses and staff on standby incase we are ordered to evacuate. We pray that is not the case.
