House of AUM has always been more than a yoga studio—it’s a sanctuary for healing, learning, and community. This summer, I stepped into the role of steward for this beloved space, continuing the legacy Melissa built and the heart that Lauren and our teachers keep alive every day.

What does progress look like in yoga? Real progress feels architectural. Yoga reminds us that the body is a house we live in. When your structure is organized, your function improves.

Try this the next time you practice:
✅ Square your foundation: Stack knees over ankles, hands under shoulders. Good geometry distributes effort so you don’t burn out one joint.

✅ Use your lungs fully: Most of us breathe in the top third of the chest. Expand the side ribs. Inflate your back body. A fuller breath gives stability from the inside out.

✅ Orient your gaze: Soft eyes. Fix your drishti (focal point). Your attention is your steering wheel; where you look, you go.

✅ Play with measure: Find the place you can sustain, not just survive. Practice is training your nervous system, not punishing it.

Over time, these refinements can show up as:
• better sleep
• regulated stress
• clearer boundaries
• easier digestion
• emotional resilience

Those are the milestones that matter. Come practice with us, learn how to build a stronger house for the person living inside. 🏠💛

The November Full Beaver Moon rises in steady Ta**us calling us to slow down, settle our nervous systems, and honor the work we’ve already done. As the season turns darker the body naturally asks for warmth, and inward focus; a rhythm older than any calendar.

Ta**us highlights the throat and voice, making this a perfect time to speak your truth and soothe what feels strained. Hum a song, sip something herbal, and let your breath soften your shoulders.

This moon asks:
✨ What have you built since spring?
✨ What deserves completion- not rush?
✨ Where can steadiness replace urgency?

While impatience may stir, thoughtful action will take you farther than disruption. You’ve come too far to topple what you’ve been constructing. Gather with those who nourish you. Rest like the beavers in their winter dens. Trust that reflection is part of progress.

As we move through November, a month shaped by gratitude, reflection, and need within our communities, we invite you to practice together with purpose.

Join Melissa for Seva Yoga, an 80-minute experience weaving mindful asana, meditation, heart-centered visualization, aromatherapy, and supportive hands-on assists to unite mind, body, and spirit. 100% of all proceeds will be donated to the local food support network in the Village, helping nourish our neighbors during the holiday season.

The Full Moon arrives like a spotlight, illuminating what’s been living in the corners of our psyche. The Moon maps our reflective nature, the part of us that sees more clearly when we slow down, listen, and orient ourselves to rhythm.

This circle is an invitation to evaluate your architecture:

Where are you held up by good structure?
Where are you improvising without support?
What needs to be released so you can stand more squarely in yourself?

We’ll move through breathwork, meditation, and journal prompts designed to help you harvest insight, clear old patterns, and invite new perspective.
