Since we have SO many new faces… I figure an introduction is in order 🥰 and a face to the name!
I’m Rachel! My husband and I have 2 rambunctious young boys and a creative and growing teenage daughter at home; and one grown up and very independent daughter in her own home! Our family works hard to be as self sufficient as possible on our small homestead in Northern Indiana. We raise a little livestock, grow a large garden (or at least attempt it!), try our best to preserve, and DIY all over the place!
A couple of summers ago, several unforeseen factors resulted in a failing garden and rapidly depleting chicken flock. It was like the perfect storm of chaos that left us feeling like nothing was going right. I was absolutely determined to make “something of nothing” as it goes. I was forced to take a step back, re-evaluate, and focus on what was being naturally provided to us by the land around us. ……And what I saw was a whole lot of weeds! 🤦♀️ 😒 Turns out, we’re REALLY good at growing those 🤣
I thought surely these weeds have got to be good for something! From there, I did a deep dive into the world of herbal medicine 🌿and when I say “deep dive” I do mean obsessively! 🤣 I was (and continue to be) fascinated by how many beneficial plants surround us and the seemingly magical remedies that each “weed” has to offer! I continued to thoroughly research 📚 (that part is never ending!!), and began to intently harvest (also seems never ending!), and let my creativity go wild! I fell in love with learning….making tinctures, infusing oils, and creating signature blends to soothe various conditions. I found a need within my family and friend circle that was being fulfilled by herbal medicine. Even more encouraging, it was clear that herbal remedies were working far more effectively than pharmaceuticals! I’ve since heard some folks say that your own land will adapt to provide you what your family needs. ….I suppose I can’t argue with that 💜
From here, a small business was born 🥰
Our personal family goal to minimize and even eliminate pharmaceuticals from our home is complete! It’s always so heartwarming to see when my hand made products prove over and over to be effective ♥️ I’m always expanding my product line and adjusting as necessary to fit needs based on REAL customer feedback. I love to showcase the magic of what nature gifts us in every product.
My products are not mass produced. Every herb I utilize is either home grown, ethically wildcrafted, or -on a very rare occasion when absolutely necessary- purchased only high quality organic. Every tincture and oil infusion is set to extract for a full 8 weeks or more in order to draw every bit of medicinal value. Every blend is meticulously hand crafted for maximum results.
