2025 Review in ✨Costumes✨

All of the costumes I wore in 2025 for shows 🩷
I feel like I may be forgetting something, and I wasn't able to get crystal clear footage of all of them, but I think they're all here!
Costumes are always so much fun to receive as a dancer, when the final piece of your character is coming together. They can also be a huge disappointment if you've got something extremely awkward, outside your comfort zone, or uncomfortable!

Luckily this year, I didn't have too many issues.
I'm short and the character corps dresses were long and heavy, so they ended up getting stuck everytime I moved 😅 but ultimately it was fine and the black/red color scheme is fitting for me I think.
For the Cirque Arts performance, we all had pearls on our mesh shirts, which were ending up on the floor in droves where we had to do dance, aerial, and acrobatic movement. So that was a little concerning, but luckily everyone was fine and nobody slipped on a pearl.
Also for my party parent costume, I typically hate that color and vibrant shades of pink (love baby pink, just not magenta or anything rich) but when it all came together, it was fun! Several adjustments were made because I'm short and was initially tripping on it as well 🫣

No, I'LL be president.
I can't wait to get a video of this performance. This was our 2nd time performing it and we've gone merely off of feedback from others on how well the message is conveyed through our work. I do think the images do a pretty good job of that though.

What's something you wish you knew when you first started aerial/dance/etc?
What's something you wish there was more conversation about? Asking for anyone in the contemporary circus, pole, and dance world to hit me with all the topics.
I'm gearing a lot of my YouTube content towards helping people just starting out because that's the most crucial time, however it's definitely important for there to be resources for intermediate and advanced practitioners as well, so I'd like to hear from beginners and advanced artists alike. Comment or dm :)

Love this shot from the show Saturday. Dance Uprising seeks to make impactful, identifiable statements and I think this routine says a lot. We simply identify the power struggle as it appears to us in our national and international hierarchies, but we embody U.S. presidential candidates to convey it.
I just uploaded my newest video, walking you through my personal routine for this show day, from morning to night. Link to my channel is in my bio.
Also checkout the incredibly talented photographer for both this event and also who took our company headshots, listed above.

I enjoy that my headshots effortlessly capture my moody glares. (I will note that this is just my face. I have one hell of an rbf. Contrary to the evidence I think I'm a ray of sunshine with like maybe a hint of cayenne or something)

I've had a fire lit under me the past few months to run from my day job as fast as I can. As a creative, doing excessive, redundant, laborious work all day and then finding the motivation to use the little time outside of that to travel to classes, find the muse and energy to create things, and build myself up is very draining. I want my art to be my job, and I have known this since three years old. I will not settle for the cookie cutter image of the 'American Dream' that I have never once fit into. It took me many years but now I'm finally equipped with the discipline, drive, and loose plan of action to reach my goals, and soon. I'm done looking into the future for answers and solutions when I have the power to create them right now in this moment.

what do you do to feel prepared on show days?
I make sure to wake up with enough time to get ready and have some time to myself to get into a positive headspace, and to make sure I'm fully packed, eat nourishing food, and hydrate earlier in the day. I try to avoid drinking a lot of water the closer it gets to showtime, because there's nothing worse than getting in costume and having to run back and forth to p*e every 20 minutes, and p*eling all of those layers off 😂

Full video on my channel, link in bio.
Nobody really talks about the in-between stages of success. We follow people we wanna be like, but by the time we discover them, they've already made it, leaving everyone else wondering the steps they took to get there. I have had many successes this year, major ones being making my aerial debut after 2+ years of training, and joining a dance company and being able to reconnect with dance again after I left it in high school. I want to be extremely transparent about the steps I'm taking and what I'm doing to reach my goals. I want to help as many people as possible see the highs and lows of achieving success, and how relative 'success' really is. I want to provide the option of watching someone from the ground up, because I have a plan, and when I get to my current goal, I'll be able to break all my steps down to give an example of what achieving a goal looks like. .

Not the best quality, but this is one of my favorite moments from my very first aerial performance this past August, creating a character in a very dark place fresh out of a relationship, and sinking back into old habits. The song I chose for this was Back to Black by Amy Winehouse, because I wanted to express a similar story. 3 years ago, I was extensively cheated on by someone who essentially saved me from myself. I was in a huge hole, I didn't have any happiness in my life and I had lost direction. And then he gave me one. And I wrapped so much of myself around that, that when I lost it, I also lost myself. That level of betrayal cost me my trust, my self worth, and general mental health that I am still trying to get back. And the events that occurred after were a ripple effect. I made this to express that feeling of being in a safety net and then retreating back to old habits, and finally addressing them and creating yourself. So this act will always mean a lot to me, because it was a huge milestone in my journey. I made myself vulnerable and reintroduced myself to performing, one of few things that give me a true sense of purpose, exhilarates and invigorates me . It was my first aerial act, my comeback to a lifestyle of performing I had left behind in pursuit of frivolities, and the beginning of my success as an artist. This picture, to me, showcases not only the physical strength that I used that negative energy to fuel and build, but also the mental reworkings of my ambition, determination, and realizing I am capable and worthy.

New video out on my channel, "What to Bring & Wear to an Aerial Class" my channel link is in my bio. This video is aimed towards people new to aerial, but even if you are an experienced aerialist, I would love to hear the things you personally bring or wear to class, as well as constructive comments about what to focus on in the future. Let me know what you think :)

Hello! I'm an aerial & hula hoop artist, sometimes pole dancer and company member of Dance Uprising.
Outside of training I frequent the gym & try to practice mindful eating and living.
There surprisingly is not much information readily available out there for us, so I wanted to build an online community for circus artists as well as dancers to provide support, tips, and information for both industry level artists and beginners.
To my surprise, I have yet to find an aerial YouTuber, and very few in any circus art. I started a channel to provide aerialists with the information I did not have starting out, and release content tailored to current circus artists. My channel link is in my bio.
I am looking for people in these areas to give me reccomendations of what they would like to see or wished to have had when they were first starting out. I have a few ideas so far based on personal experience, but I would like to know exactly the content fellow artists would like to see. Feel free to leave comments, dm me and make sure to check out my channel! 💖

Ballet might be my first love but I've trained the longest in contemporary/modern. You can put me in pointe shoes but I'm still gonna end up on the floor in nightmare-fuel shapes 🤸🏻‍♀️
