Another reminder of how important collaboration is in this industry 🐴
With multiple radiographs provided by Dr. Saralynn Specht, we were able to fully evaluate the horse, build a thoughtful shoeing plan, and put hands-on work into practice thanks to both Bo Tipton CJF and Dr. Specht.

We ended the day with forge work to refine techniques and improve our skillset — grateful for opportunities to learn and grow!

As many of you are probably aware, there have been reported and confirmed cases of EHV-1/EHM (neurologic) in Texas and Oklahoma that were confirmed as all having attended a barrel racing competition in Waco, Texas. Additional cases have been reported in Canada as well as Maryland, at least one of these cases has been confirmed as neurologic (EHM) but these cases have not been linked to the barrel racing event.

⭐️There have been 𝐍𝐎 𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐒 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐚 to date but we urge you to consider limiting any non-essential transport/moving of your horse(s) until this outbreak subsides.
If you have any reason to believe that your horse may have been exposed, quarantine that horse away from any others and contact your vet as soon as possible.

We’ve been a little quiet lately, but a lot has been happening behind the scenes !✨

Lately we have been taking advantage of more opportunities to grow, learn, and connect within our farrier community! 🐴💪

We had the privilege of accompanying Tiffany Gardner CJF, at Crossroads Veterinary Hospital for a day of therapeutic cases and shoeing. It was an amazing experience — we learned SO much and picked up valuable new techniques and approaches for therapeutic shoeing. 💡 We also gained so much insight and appreciation for the incredible amount of work it takes to get these things just right! 💪🩺

We are gratefteful for Dr. Shaw being so welcoming and taking the time to further explain and educate us on such complex and intense cases — it was truly an invaluable learning experience. 🙏

We also attended the annual Horseshoe Barn Clinic featuring Stan Mullen CJF, who shared his expertise on shoe modifications and hand made shoes. Watching him handcraft and apply a custom set of handmade shoes to the demo horse was truly inspiring! 🔨🔥 It was great catching up with colleagues and connecting with others who share the same passion for continuing education and farrier excellence. 🤝

We’re excited to get back into the swing of things after our move 🏡 and are now accepting a limited number of new clients in the Lincoln, Roseville, and surrounding areas!
