Hormones are your body’s messengers — they tell your cells when to rest, digest, grow, and flow.

When they’re out of sync, your body lets you know. Here are 5 gentle signs it might be time to bring things back into balance:

1️⃣ Mood swings or irritability — If small things suddenly feel overwhelming, your estrogen-progesterone balance might be off.

2️⃣ Fatigue (even after sleep) — Low thyroid function or cortisol imbalance can make mornings feel heavy.

3️⃣ Irregular or painful cycles — Skipped periods, spotting, or intense cramps signal hormone disruption or inflammation.

4️⃣ Skin changes — Breakouts on your jawline, oily skin, or dryness can point to shifting androgen levels.

5️⃣ Weight changes or sugar cravings — Blood sugar and cortisol play a big role here — especially if you feel tired and wired.

Ugh, the phase right before your period where you just want to wear cozy socks, say no to plans, and eat warm food, maybe you're even a little grumpy and agitated (some of my clients even say they're rageful)?

That’s your luteal phase, your inner autumn.

During this time, progesterone rises (hello, calm and cozy vibes) and your body is preparing for either pregnancy or rest. But if your hormones are off balance, this phase can bring bloating, mood swings, or anxiety instead.

Here’s how I like to ground and flow through it:

🫖 Sip on warming teas like cinnamon, ginger, and nettles.
🥣 Eat grounding meals like we talked about before. Think roasted veggies, sweet potatoes, and healthy fats.
🕯️ Slow down, it’s a time to nest, journal, and reflect (not push).
💤 Rest, your body’s basal temperature is higher now, so aim for earlier nights.
🧘‍♀️ Nurture your nervous system through meditation or prayer, magnesium, Epsom salt baths, and gentle stretching are your friends.
For me, I notice I want to snuggle my family more and relax with low lights.

✨ Tip: Try syncing your life to your cycle — work, workouts, and even social plans can flow more easily when you honor your body’s natural rhythm.

If you know anything about me, you know the last few years of my life have been major transformations. I have worked so hard to become the person who I like the most. I've outgrown friendships, relationships, and activities that no longer serve me. Music touches me again, and I haven't felt that way since I was probably 10 years old. One that's been really showing up in my life lately is the song "Try" by Colbie Caillat. I hear it and break down because I loved Colbie Caillat growing up. I remember listening to her CD with my friends and recording ourselves singing. I never truly listened to the words but it's a song I wish EVERY women would HEAR!

It’s a song about letting go, letting go of the need to be perfect, to please everyone, to keep trying so hard.

“Put your makeup on, get your nails done,
Curl your hair, run the extra mile,
Keep it slim so they like you — do they like you?”

We’ve all been there.
Chasing approval, validation, acceptance.
And somewhere in all of it, we forget to ask the most important question:

“Do YOU like YOU?”

Not the version of you that’s polished or put together,
the real you. The soft, tired, beautiful, trying-your-best you.

“Don’t you like you?
‘Cause I like you.”

That line gets me every time. Because it’s everything.
You don’t have to try so hard.
You don’t have to change a single thing.

Let this be your reminder today to breathe, to rest, to come back home to yourself.
Because the truest healing begins when you start liking you. 💜

🌿 1. Cleanse Your Space:
Open windows, burn herbs like rosemary or mugwort, and let fresh air move through your home.

🛁 2. Release Through Water:
Take a salt bath with Epsom or sea salt. Imagine stress and stagnant energy leaving your body with each exhale. (This is one of my faves!! sometimes I picture it even when I'm showering too)

As the air cools and the days shorten, our bodies naturally crave warmth, comfort, and steadiness. Fall is a time to come back to the earth — to root down, nourish deeply, and restore the energy we spent all summer.

When nature slows, we’re invited to do the same. This is the season for grounding foods — those that grow deep in the soil and bring a stabilizing, calming energy to the body.

Here are a few simple ways to nourish yourself this season:
