This November, Cedar Hill and Sterling Suites Senior Living are teaming up to host a Christmas Toy Drive benefiting Muskingum County Adult and Child Protective Services.

We’re collecting new, unwrapped toys all month long to help make the holidays brighter for local children in our community. Together, we can share the joy of the season and remind every child they are loved and supported.

Cedar Hill and Sterling Suites had a spooktacular time participating in the Trail of Treats event for the Zanesville Certus buildings last night! While the weather tried to rain on our parade, we simply moved the fun indoors, and it didn’t stop anyone from coming out. We had an amazing turnout with over 500 visitors stopping by for Halloween fun!

Our residents had an incredible time handing out candy, greeting families, and seeing all the little ghosts and goblins in costume. The joy on their faces said it all, the laughter, conversation, and excitement brought so much energy and warmth to the evening.

Events like this are more than just fun, they’re wonderful opportunities for our residents to connect with the community, share smiles, and feel part of something bigger. Many of them love seeing children in costume and reminiscing about their own Halloween memories, which makes the experience even more special.
We’re so grateful to everyone who stopped by our buildings and helped make the night a success. Your kindness, costumes, and candy-collecting spirit brought happiness to so many hearts!

Halloween Fun at Sterling Suites!

Things got spooktacular at Sterling Suites Senior Living as our residents and staff celebrated Halloween in true festive fashion!

The afternoon was filled with music, laughter, and lots of sweet treats to enjoy. Some residents showed off their Halloween shirts, while others topped off their looks with festive headbands and accessories that made the day extra fun.

A few even went all out with costumes, dressing up as beloved characters from The Wizard of Oz! We had our very own Tin Man and Scarecrow bringing smiles and photo-worthy moments as they made their way through the celebration.

The room was bursting with joy, creativity, and connection — a reminder of how special it is to celebrate together. From the candy to the costumes (and everything in between), our Halloween party was a wickedly wonderful time for all!

Monsters Take Over Sterling Suites!

Things got monstrously fun at Sterling Suites Senior Living this past week! Our team brought the Halloween spirit to life by transforming into characters from Monsters, Inc. — proving that growing older doesn’t mean you stop having fun!

Brittany, our Director of Community Engagement, was the one-eyed wonder himself — Mike Wazowski!

Brandy, our Resident Care Coordinator, was simply boo-tiful as Boo!

Amber, our Social Services Director, brought big laughs and fuzzy fun as Sully!

Flower Power at Sterling Suites!

This week, our residents were treated to a beautiful surprise — a generous donation of fresh flowers for our community!

With vases, clippers, and plenty of creativity, residents spent the afternoon arranging vibrant bouquets for their rooms and our dining spaces. The halls were filled with laughter, the gentle scent of blossoms, and the cheerful chatter of friends working side by side.

Of course, no floral session is complete without a little snack — everyone enjoyed treats and coffee while creating their colorful masterpieces!

Beyond their beauty, these arrangements offered so much more: fostering creativity, enhancing fine motor skills, promoting focus, and encouraging relaxation. Most importantly, the activity sparked joy, connection, and a sense of accomplishment among our residents.

Now, Sterling Suites is blooming with color — and happiness — thanks to these shared moments of creativity and community!

Oh, the Fun We Had at Sterling Suites! 🎩✨

It was a Seuss-tacular day at Sterling Suites Senior Living as our team brought whimsy and rhyme to the halls!

Brandie, our Resident Care Coordinator, and Brittany, Director of Community Engagement, teamed up as the mischievous Thing 1 and Thing 2, while Nurse Nikki and Resident Assistant Dixie spread smiles all around as the Cat in the Hat duo!

Laughter, friendship, and plenty of fun filled the day, reminding us that at Sterling Suites, every moment is made special by the joy we share.

Celebrating Our Future Healthcare Heroes!

The nursing students from COTC have been completing their clinicals right here at Cedar Hill, and we loved having the chance to celebrate their hard work! Brittany, our Director of Community Engagement; Amy, our Director of Rehab; and Tammie, our HR Director spoke to the students about what makes working at Cedar Hill Healthcare & Rehabilitation and Sterling Suites so special — from teamwork to career opportunities.

To show our appreciation, we treated them to a delicious lunch of tacos and cheesecake, lovingly prepared by our famous dietary queen, Lucy! Her creations never fail to impress and added the perfect sweet ending to a wonderful afternoon.

It was a fantastic way to connect, share insights, and celebrate these future nurses — we can’t wait to see some of them join our Cedar Hill and Sterling Suites family one day!

Ghostly Good Fun at Sterling Suites!

Our residents at Sterling Suites Senior Living got into the Halloween spirit with a spooky (and fluffy!) craft — cotton ball ghosts!

Armed with cotton balls, glue, and a little imagination, residents created adorable ghost decorations that are now floating around the hallways of our community bringing smiles and Halloween cheer.

These simple crafts are more than just decorations — they’re moments of laughter, creativity, and connection shared among friends. It’s always a treat to see how much fun everyone has when crafting together!

Fall Crafting Fun at Sterling Suites!

Our residents have been getting into the spirit of the season and kicked things off with this festive fall door decoration! Using colorful autumn leaves and pinecones, bright orange and gold mesh, and cheerful bows, they created beautiful pieces that proudly say, “Happy Fall, Y’all!”

The crafting table was full of laughter, conversation, and creativity as everyone shared stories about their favorite fall memories — from pumpkin patches and hayrides to baking pies and raking leaves.

Each decoration turned out unique, just like the residents who made them, and now our halls are filled with cozy autumn colors and a whole lot of Sterling Suites spirit!

A Sweet Day at Sterling Suites!

Our residents at Sterling Suites Senior Living enjoyed a delightful afternoon filled with treats — both sweet and savory! From cheese and crackers to cinnamon rolls and strawberry shortcake, there was something to satisfy every craving.

As everyone enjoyed their favorite bites, laughter and conversation filled the room. Residents shared stories of homemade desserts from years past and the memories that make them so special.

It was the perfect way to spend the day — good company, delicious treats, and plenty of smiles all around!

Dancing Divas, Inc. Visit Sterling Suites!

There’s nothing like a little music and movement to brighten the day — and the Dancing Divas did just that during their visit to Sterling Suites Senior Living!

Our residents were all smiles as the Divas performed a lively lineup of dances full of sparkle, energy, and fun. From classic tunes to upbeat favorites, their performance had everyone clapping along, tapping their feet, and even joining in for a few moves!

Laughter filled the room, and it was clear that the joy was contagious — not just from the performers, but from the connection shared between our residents and these amazing volunteers who give their time and talent to spread happiness.

A Huge thank you to the Dancing Divas for bringing their warmth and enthusiasm to our community. We’re already looking forward to your next visit!

Sip, Snack, and Smile!

It was all smiles this afternoon at Sterling Suites Senior Living as our residents gathered for a relaxing Sip & Snack Social!

Everyone enjoyed refreshing glasses of peach and strawberry wine, perfectly paired with crackers and creamy peanut butter — a combination that brought plenty of “mmm’s” and even more laughter.

Of course, one resident decided that hot chocolate was the way to go, and we couldn’t agree more — there’s no wrong way to enjoy a cozy afternoon with friends!

Moments like these are what make Sterling Suites feel like home — good friends, great conversation, and simple pleasures that brighten the day. Here’s to more afternoons filled with flavor, friendship, and fun!
