A hometown guy, Dr. Boeve is a graduate of Zeeland West High School, and then went on to complete his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science at Grand Valley State University. From there he completed his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine at University of Pikeville, Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine and during his training he completed a teaching fellowship in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM). Most recently Dr. Boeve completed his residency at Metro Health-University of Michigan Health where he specialized in both Family Medicine and Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine.
Dr. Boeve was born and raised in West Michigan and it is his goal to provide quality, comprehensive, and compassionate medical care to the people of West Michigan. With his training, he specializes in care of individuals from birth to their twilight years and the variety of health care conditions associated with all stages of life.
In addition to primary care, Dr. Boeve specializes in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine which is the application of Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy (often called OMT or OMM). OMT can help people of all ages and backgrounds. The treatment can be used to ease pain, promote healing and increase overall mobility. Although often used to treat muscle pain, the treatment can also help patients with a number of other health problems such as: asthma, sinus disorders, carpal tunnel syndrome, migraines, and pains associated with pregnancy.
Through OMT, physicians manually apply a specific amount of pressure to different regions of the body. These techniques can help treat structural and tissue abnormalities, relieve joint restriction and misalignment, restore muscle and tissue balance, and promote the overall movement of blood flow throughout the body.
