💥HAPPY REUNIFICATION DAY💥

Had to drop 50 dips for Vietnam and its 50th anniversary.

When I was born in this beautiful country, the poverty rate was damn near 60%…People were making less than $130 USD a YEAR.

Today, it’s less than 2% and $4,700 and growing. Education rate have more than doubled and we’re more prosperous than ever.

I don’t have much of an appetite in the morning. However I do prefer train first thing in the morning.

That being said, I need some fuel. My breakfast is my preworkout meal. I can train fasted but find that towards the end of the session, my energy tends to fade.

2️⃣ whole eggs and an orange or two. I like this meal because it’s simple, light, digests well, and nutrition dense.

Simple carbs from the 🍊 for energy. Fats and protein from the eggs for muscle growth and to slow down digestion to prevent an energy crash.

A complete meal 👍🏼

The reason I call walking the best form of cardio is that you don’t even realize you’re doing it.

It’s accessible to almost anyone at anytime they choose. When you think of cardio, you’re thinking of hours on the treadmill or running but it doesn’t have to be like that.

One super easy way to improve your health and fitness is simply walk more. I like using a step count because it’s measurable. The app I use is called PACER.

Being a tourist sure burns a lot of calories 😮‍💨

💥FAVOURITE JOINT SUPPLEMENT💥

Curcumin is chemical found in turmeric, a spice. Asides from being used to make delicious curries, it’s an extremely powerful natural anti-inflammatory.

I’ve been training and lifting heavy for over 12 years and my joints still feel fantastic. I attribute taking a curcumin supplement as one of the factors in that.

A quick Google search revolves a long list of benefits but below are why I take it.

🔹joint health and pain (specifically arthritis)
🔹gut health

PRO TIP: Make sure you take it with black pepper or it has piperine within the supplement. It increases bioavailability and absorption by 2000%.

My rule for supplementation is take what you are deficient in. However, cucurmin is always in stock at my place and I recommend it to everyone for general health.

Training environment is everything. I just wanna take copious amounts of preworkout and stims, listen to trap music, and lift heavy with my boys.

Didn’t want to go to super heavy today on dips since my body hasn’t felt the greatest lately. So how do we make using lighter weights more intense so the muscles are still challenged and forced to grow❓

5️⃣ reps with a 5️⃣ second isometric hold

I’m trying to own the range and portion of the lift and movement where it’s the heaviest and hardest.

I know if I can hold this tension for this long, my starting and explosive strength, my joints, and tendons are more than resilient enough to handle much heavier weights.

If your gym doesn’t have these stall bars, any immovable object to put your heels under will work too.

If you want a way to objectively progress this movement, then use something as a benchmark to lower your chest or hips to.
-
This could be a bench, mats, or a combination of both stacked to the height of your current level of strength.
