Sensory tip of the week - water play!

Water is a simple and versatile sensory tool. You can paint with water on sidewalks or walls, spray mists of water from spray bottles to cool off or "wash" things outside, practice measuring and pouring, etc. The possibilities are endless, and it is highly engaging. And the bonus - it's an easy cleanup because it's just water!

We have added an exclusive blend of mint and citrus essential oils, and a hint of ylang ylang for a tropical beach aroma. This limited time blend of essential oils smells like a tropical beach vacation. It will be launched at the Tay Ho Summer Travels Market. Hope to see you there!

Today's sensory tip is to encourage creativity by providing open-ended toys and materials such as loose parts.

We created this play kitchen using recycled materials and toy dishes, and then added loose parts (pom poms, flat marbles, colored blocks) to represent different foods. I created it for my youngest, but my oldest loves it, too! The possibilities are endless with a little bit of creativity and a variety of simple materials.

Nice to meet you! My name is Becca. I am the woman behind Scentsory Dough. I am a teacher by trade and a mother of two boys - one of whom is autistic. I was inspired to make this dough to provide calming and creative activities for him and his younger brother. They loved it so much that I wanted to share our dough with others.
