Take a close look at Dr. Q’s expression. This is a phone call he received from a patient yesterday while prepping his family’s garden. Dr. Quigley is happy to connect with each of his patients that call during our shelter in place. He may be shoveling dirt, changing a diaper, wrangling children, homeschooling, or folding laundry, but he is always happy to hear from you. Thank you for calling!

Dr. Quigley took piano lessons for 8 years. From the time he graduated high school until now, his life has been filled with an ample amount of things to do. Needless to say, the piano took a far back seat to his ever growing list of to-dos. During this pandemic he has found time to sit and brush up on his piano skills. What have you found yourself enjoying during this time?

(The littlest lady in the house enjoys pulling books off of shelves, emptying cupboards, and unrolling precious toilet paper.)

Dr. Quigley is finding ways to keep busy and remain optimistic during this difficult time, even if he misses his patients and working on teeth. Yesterday was spent digging in the dirt and prepping the garden. The Quigley family hopes to successfully grow tomatoes, zucchini, herbs, onions, beets, squash, pumpkins, beans, peas, blueberries, strawberries, and flowers- lots of flowers this year! What’s your favorite thing to grow?

To all of our wonderful patients-

You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Carter Park Dental is following a recent mandate extended by Governor Inslee. Our office will be closed for the next month or two to help reduce the spread of the Coronavirus.

Dr. Quigley and a limited staff will still be available to treat any dental emergencies during this time. All other non-urgent dental procedures will be postponed until we receive word that our doors can re-open. We will offer extended hours and extra days to ensure we can meet all of your dental needs.

Please email us at carterparkdental@gmail.com, call 360-693-1291, or leave us a message on Facebook or Instagram. We will be in and out of the office, but continually checking our messages. We are willing and happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have at this time.

We send our love and wish you all the best as we navigate through uncharted territory together. We are in this together, all of us.

Warmly,
Carter Park Dental

As the spread of COVID-19 continues in our state, we have received several questions. From the department of health in Washington state we received this guidance:

Patient Appointments
Several patients have been asking whether they should go to regularly scheduled medical and dental appointments. The following is a statement from the Department of Health responding to this question:

The best thing for your health is to keep up with your regularly scheduled check-ups – medical, mental health, and dental. However, if you have any symptoms of COVID-19 but have not had close contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, follow our guidance on self-quarantine.

Before and after. Have you ever opened something up with your teeth, chewed on ice, or crunched on something else that was hard? It may seem harmless once or twice, but over time these actions will weaken and could possibly break your teeth.

We recently heard this quote and it stuck with us, so we thought we’d share it with all of you. Also, a little behind-the-scenes tidbit about Dr. Quigley: he is constantly reminding his wife and children that pain is good, especially when they want to give up on what they are working towards. Pain means growth.

It was a wonderful year for the office and for our family. Growth would be the word we’d use to describe 2019. We were stretched in ways we didn’t know were possible and we did not snap. Thank you for your continued support and for being a part of our Carter Park Dental community. We appreciate you all! Happy New Year!!
