The problem: Your body remembers more than you think.
After a fall, surgery, scar, sprain or even prolonged stress, your body can keep sending the wrong signals. Think of things like:
Muscle tension that won’t switch off, pain that lingers, even after healing the damaged structure.
Limited movement with no clear cause, it’s your nervous system may keep “replaying” these old signals, stuck in protection mode.

Back pain is common, we see it every day in our practice.
But the location of the pain is not always the root cause. In fact, people with back issues often experience other physical complaints as well, such as neck stiffness, pelvic floor tension and stress or breathing insufficiency.

That’s why, as specialists, we look beyond just the back.
We assess the full dynamics of the body: posture, breathing, movement patterns, muscle balance and also past physical trauma, such as an accident or fall.

Tension in your neck or shoulders?
It’s often more than just stiffness, your body stores tension.
Long-term stress, work pressure or a lack of exercise can cause your muscles to stay constantly on.

That tension tells you something: your body is communicating what your mind sometimes ignores.

With targeted treatment, such as dry needling, posture advice, and relaxation exercises, we can release that built-up tension and accelerate recovery.

How does P-DTR work?

P-DTR detects faulty reflexes in the nervous system that are responsible for persistent or unexplained symptoms. This applies to situations where the body continues to react as if it’s in danger, even when that is no longer the case. The method involves a combination of:
- Functional muscle testing
- Sensory stimuli, such as touch, temperature, or pressure
- Neurological evaluation of reflexes

By identifying and resetting disturbed sensory input, the nervous system can return to a safe and calm state. The body no longer needs to compensate or remain stuck in ‘fight-or-flight’ mode.

Many people visit physiotherapy with lower back, pelvic, midback and neck complaints. Quite often, the muscles around the trunk – the core – aren’t working together strongly or stably enough.

Think of your core as the foundation of a house 🏠. If that base isn’t solid, the walls and roof are more likely to crack. The same happens in your body: without a stable core, other muscles have to compensate, which can lead to pain or overload in all sorts of muscles throughout your body.
By training core stability as a part of our therapy, we help the deep abdominal and back muscles to join in again. This provides support, reduces pain, and makes moving in daily life and sports much easier.
Did you know your core is much more than just your abs?

Functional anatomy in action.

Effective treatment starts with a deep understanding of movement chains, joint function and neuromuscular control.
That is why we focus on shoulder mobility and will assess specific and evidence based tests, a key component for optimal biomechanics and injury prevention.

How does P-DTR work?

P-DTR identifies faulty reflexes through muscle testing combined with sensory input (like touch, pressure, temperature or movement).
If a muscle reacts abnormally – weak when it shouldn’t be, or overly tense – that’s a sign of neurological imbalance. Then, with very specific techniques, the therapist can reset those reflexes.
It all works via the nervous system. No needles, no medication, no manipulations.

P-DTR stands for Proprioceptive Deep Tissue Reflex. It is an advanced neurological treatment method that focuses on correcting dysfunctions in the nervous system. It’s often used with people dealing with chronic pain, recurring injuries, or unexplained movement issues.

P-DTR in a nutshell:
• Works directly via the nervous system
• Detects the real cause behind compensation patterns
• Offers relief where other treatments may fall short
• Works on deep levels: reflexes and sensory processing
• Great for athletes, chronic pain patients, and anyone with recurring or unexplained symptoms

Dry Needling available from 1st of October!

This technique uses a very thin needle to target deep trigger points. Those tight, knotted spots in your muscles that can cause pain, stiffness or even refer discomfort to other areas. By inserting the needle directly into the muscle, we help it “reset,” release tension, and improve blood flow.

The result?
• Less pain
• Improved mobility
• Faster recovery

Dry needling has a quick result but is not always a quick fix; it’s part of a larger treatment plan that often includes movement, exercise therapy and education. But for the right complaint, it can make a big difference.

The neck is deeply connected with shoulders, spine, jaw and even breathing.
When one area is under strain the body adapts, often creating tension in unexpected places.

By examining the neck, we can trace how these systems interact and influence each other.
Sometimes a small change in the neck restores balance throughout the body.
