I’ve made this page to post updates about our son, as he fights during this journey of ours.
Aiden is our special little boy. At my 20 week anatomy scan Aiden was diagnosed with Severe Ebstein Anomaly, which is a rare heart defect. We were told that due to the severity of the leakage from his heart, that he wouldn’t make it to being born. 15 weeks later and our son is still fighting. Two weeks ago a few more problems were found with his heart. He still has severe EA, severe leakage, and now his pulmonary artery is leaking severely. Before he was getting some blood flow to his body and lungs and now because of his pulmonary artery leaking he’s getting no blood flow to his body or lungs, not even the slightest bit. They also found a small amount of fluid around his heart. Due to his health progressively getting worse, and my body preparing for labor already, they will be taking him at 37 weeks (November 28th). They have given us no hope, they just keep saying he’s going to be born extremely sick and because of his severity he won’t make it. However 15 weeks ago they said he wouldn’t make it to being born, and he’s kept fighting. I believe he will keep fighting, and that god will continue to watch over him, and heal him. We are exactly 2 weeks away from his arrival, I’m a nervous, emotional, and stressed out mess to say the least. I pray everyday for my son, and for a miracle to happen.
