BOOK RECOMMENDATION:

I read a lot, well I should clarify… I listen to audiobooks a lot. Almost never fiction unless it’s with the kids. Most of what I read is to help me get a better understanding of the world, spirituality and religion, personal education or self development.

I read this one recently and found it extremely refreshing. Refreshing because it drove home some great points in a rough around the edges, no nonsense kind of way. I think this book would really speak to men and some teen boys Who might not be into the typical more feminine tone of self development books but could use some inspiration and guidance on bettering their lives.

My husband is a big fan of the author and has listened to his podcast for many years, learning a lot in that time so after he read the book, I figured it was worth checking out myself. We had our 13-year-old son read it and he enjoyed it as well.

It’s a quick read at just over six hours on Audible. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

ATTENTION FORAGERS, HIKERS & HOMESCHOOLING NATURE LOVERS:

The weather has been beautiful for exploring in nature, but please remember that it is hunting season in Massachusetts from now until January 1 2026. 

We are sharing the forest with the sportsman and women out there hunting so please proceed with caution. I recommend wearing an orange hat and vest. all in your party including the dog. It’s not about fashion, it’s about safety. Let’s share the beautiful forests and all that mother nature has to offer us safely and respectfully💕🌱

Fun adventure today! Everyone needs magnesium cream tonight! We walked at least 8 miles today! Well, my phone died at 8 miles but I know it was more than that by the end of the night. We have some achy feet and legs tonight but will be good at new tomorrow and read for the next adventure!

I have not been very present on this page the past few months, but boy have I been busy! So many adventures, learning opportunities, and quality time with family. Field trips, vacations, ocean visits, camping, forging, etc..
Today we got back out for our yearly elderberry harvest! The Earth gives us so much amazing medicine 💕

I’ve got some big things in the works this year for my family and for my businesses so stay tuned for that !

Someone asked me the other day if there was a meaning behind the name Wild Willow Holistics. I realized I have never spoken about this.
 
Yes, there is meaning behind the name!
 
Wild Willow Holistics symbolizes my life, and the life my husband and I are building for our family.
 
Wild: In case you haven’t noticed the world had gone a little crazy! 😆 Raising a young family and homeschooling is no easy task.  We are active in our home and community. We stay busy and things definitely get wild on a daily basis.
 
Willow: The Willow tree symbolizes strength, Flexibility, adaptability, grace and good fortune. We work hard to set a good example for our children. Like the Willow we are rooted strong on our foundation but stay flexible, adaptable, and gracious on this journey. 
 
Holistic: Our lifestyle is a way of living that focuses on our family as a whole, and the needs of each member. We strive to focus on how elements such as food, reducing toxic exposure, sleep, physical activities, life experiences, personal relationships, emotional wellness, spirituality, nature and education are working together to impact the current state of our “wellness”.
