Good Afternoon,

On October 27, 2020 I had my normal 6 month doctor’s visit. There I found out that I ballooned to 243 and had HGB A1C at 6.7 (6.0 is normal), Cholesterol at 201 and Triglycerides at 161 with BP at 154/96. Needless to say Covid did a thing on me mentally and physically.

A friend of mine posted the book “Healthy at Last” on Facebook. This particular friend was trying to lose weight and I said what the hell and I ordered the book.

This book changed my life. I have studied health for many years and thought I was healthy. People always shared how I looked good. I was thinking “COMPARED TO WHAT…..COMPARED TO WHO”. My numbers as mentioned above were out of control. I have always exercised which was a saving Grace.

I made a decision to change doctors to an African American doctor. Best move of my life. He told me if I did what I had to do, I would no longer need the medication I was on.

My last appointment I weighed in at 215, Cholesterol at 128, Triglycerides at 70 and HGB A1C at 4.7. I stopped taking my meds and my blood pressure is now at 131/86 (Still working on this).
