I won’t lie - my efforts have been sadly lacking but I can now reveal

That I have caught up at last! I realised that I had missed the whole of September due, in some part, to the chaos I’m in due to the oil leak. Hence the 30 days of September are denoted by 30 different “pebbles”. I have then picked an event for each day in October- ending with my weight loss of one pound today. (-1). Let’s hope that I can maintain it fetter this time!

Catching up with my stitches:-

Saturday I went to an open aired performance of Pride and Prejudice- complete with picnic and G &t,
Sunday was a sewing day with like minded friends at Scamblesby,
Monday I made some tote bags as part of our WI’s 70th celebrations, and
Today I cut the lawn and so used differing lengths of buttonhole stitch to mark this momentous event!

The hoop is coming along - I will give you an overall look st the end of the month.

Yesterday’s offering was a pile of Z’s - I literally did not sleep a wink Tuesday night and was like a walking zombie yesterday!

Today was Slimming World where, after a spectacular holiday / birthday weight gain, there was a lovely weight loss of 10 1/2 lbs. now I just had to record that now didn’t I?

Phew - just caught up in time! The ice cream cone was to mark my last evening, yesterday, selling ice creams at our local theatre. The cross was to mark church today. It also marks the end of my first week undertaking this embroidery challenge!

Today sees progress on two fronts. I made the first dish from the recipe book - 1/0 that would be then. It’s a SW cook book and the dish is called baked oats.

Today’s stitch is a simple three stranded colonial knit to depict some musical notes. I’m not big into classical music but every year I make a point of watching The John Wilson orchestra at the proms. They specialise in music from films and musicals- 8pm on bbc4 tonight since you ask!

Today’s stitch is an attempt at an oil drop using satin stitch. The variegated thread hasn’t quite worked out as I would have wished though. The oil drop is a nod to a visit from the insurers re an oil leak in the craft room. It could result in the concrete floor being dug up and everything being moved out of the craft room - gulp!!
