We've been reflecting and re-thinking how we want to show up for our loved ones and ourselves - and it's so overwhelming sometimes and easy to fall into the trap of trying to do it all, and be everywhere!

We have to remind ourselves that we DO have a choice - and we often put ourselves under unnecessary pressure trying to please everyone else.

We can CHOOSE presence over productivity.
We CAN say no.
We CAN simplify.
We CAN CHOOSE to leave time for rest and play.
We can CHOOSE to slow down.

😄 A smile is more powerful than you think! 😄

The act of smiling sends signals throughout our entire body releasing endorphins, natural painkillers and serotonin; 3 hormones that make us feel good, head to toe.

So simply smiling encourages our body to release tension and to relax whilst also sending a signal of safety and connection to our nervous system.

Next time you’re struggling to relax in a meditation or mindful moment - or at bedtime with the kids - remember to smile, soften your brow, jaw and shoulders - and take 5 deep breaths.

🌟 Fun fact remembered from year 5: A smile, uses 13-15 muscles whereas a frown uses approximately 45-50 muscles!!!
