✨ Employee Spotlight: Brenden ✨

This week we’re shining the spotlight on Brenden! Brenden joined possAbilities in mid-2021 after wanting a more fulfilling job, and he’s been a great fit ever since.

He’s known for being a bit silly and not taking life too seriously, always bringing good energy to the team. But when it comes to his role, Brenden takes his work seriously — and it really shows in the quality of what he does.

Brenden will also be taking some time off soon as he prepares to become a first-time dad! A very exciting chapter ahead! We wish him and his family all the best.

Thanks for everything you do, Brenden — we’re lucky to have you! 👏💙

Shout out to our amazing team member Dean Netherwood who is hitting the stage in the upcoming production of The Rocky Horror Show, running from 20–29 March at the Pilbeam Theatre!🎭✨

Dean will be playing the iconic role of Eddie, and we couldn’t be prouder. We know he’s going to bring incredible energy and talent to this cult-classic production, and we can’t wait to cheer him on from the audience!

Today in our cooking session, our amazing clients got hands-on in the kitchen and whipped up some delicious treats! 🍓🍌

We started off fresh by making strawberry smoothies using juicy fresh strawberries and ripe bananas. They were sweet, refreshing, and packed with flavour – the perfect healthy boost to kick off our session.

After that, we moved on to making cheesy scrambled eggs 🍳. Everyone had a turn cracking eggs then we whisked them up, and sprinkled in plenty of cheese for that extra creamy goodness. You measure cheese with your heart, after all. 😋

It’s so wonderful to see everyone building confidence in the kitchen, trying new skills, and most importantly, having fun together. We’re so proud of their teamwork and enthusiasm today! 💛

Yesterday our wonderful clients, Kelly and Neil, baked these beautiful Valentine’s Day cupcakes and they turned out so great! 🧁✨ We’re so proud of the effort and creativity they put into them — they look absolutely amazing.

We hope everyone has a lovely Valentine’s Day filled with kindness, sweetness, and a little treat or two! 💕

✨ Employee Spotlight: Mick ✨

This week we’re shining the spotlight on Mick! Mick has been part of the possAbilities team since 2020, and we’re incredibly lucky to have him. After experiencing a brain aneurysm and stroke in 2015, Mick went through an intense journey of physiotherapy to relearn how to walk. That experience inspired him to get into the industry and support others on their own journeys — and we’re so glad he did.

Mick brings a wicked sense of humour to everything he does, along with a genuinely selfless and caring nature. An absolute asset to possAbilities and a great human all around — thanks for everything you do, Mick! 👏💙

We’ve had such a fun week full of crafts and games! 🎨🃏

Our clients have really enjoyed colouring, playing cards, painting nails and doing some beautiful painting. There’s been lots of smiles, laughter and creativity all around.

So much fun and so lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves. 💛

Today’s cooking session planned for pizza pies… the kitchen had other ideas. 🤣 So we pivoted, got creative, and ended up making regular pizza instead. 🍕

A fun reminder that the best learning (and cooking!) happens when you roll with the moment. Lots of teamwork, laughs, and delicious results. 👩‍🍳✨
