This week we’re shining the spotlight on Julie! 👏

Julie joined our team in 2022 after working primarily in the cleaning industry and aged care. Wanting a change of pace and hoping to branch out into the community to help more people, she decided to join Possabilities — and she hasn’t looked back since!

Julie is well loved by her clients and continues to make a real difference in their lives every day. She brings plenty of laughs, kindness, and empathy to everything she does, creating meaningful connections with the people she supports.

We are incredibly lucky to have Julie on our team, and we appreciate the positive impact she makes within our community. 💙

Today in our cooking session we made cashew chicken and veggies, and it turned out amazing!

Everyone got involved with chopping, stirring, and cooking, which made it a really fun and collaborative session. It was great to see everyone working together in the kitchen and trying something new.

The best part was sitting down together to enjoy the final dish — and it was absolutely delicious!

So proud of our clients and how they are always willing to give anything a go! 🥦

🌟 Employee Spotlight: Amber 🌟

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on someone who has been part of our journey from the very beginning — Amber!

Amber began by helping with our cleaning jobs in the early days of Possabilities. As the business grew, Brad showed her the ropes in administration, and she gradually took on more responsibility - becoming an integral part of the team.

In 2021, Amber completed her Certificate III in Business Administration and primarily worked in general admin for the business. However, more recently she has stepped into mainly taking care of the finance side of things, where her knowledge and attention to detail help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

But beyond her skills and expertise, Amber is an absolute joy to work with. She brings the giggles, the warmth, and a positive energy that brightens everyone’s day. 💛

We would like to take a moment to acknowledge how incredibly proud we are as we reflect on the significant progress our client Matty has made since 2019! 💛

Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of supporting him on his journey, and the growth and progress he has made has been truly amazing to see. From building confidence to developing new skills and independence, Matty has come such a long way — and he continues to surprise us!

One of his absolute favourite activities is hydrotherapy 🏊‍♂️. The water brings out the biggest smiles and has played such a positive role in his progress. Seeing his enjoyment and the benefits he gains each session is something really special.

We are so grateful to have been part of Matty’s journey for so many years and look forward to continuing to support him to achieve even more goals in the future. Keep shining, Matty! 🌟

Today in our cooking session we made Mini Cob Loaves! 🍞

Everyone had a designated job and absolutely excelled in their role. From mixing and measuring to scooping and filling, every single person stepped up. The teamwork was incredible to watch – everyone supported each other, stayed focused, and worked together like a well-oiled machine. The results? Amazing, delicious mini cob loaves that we were all proud of! 🙌

We followed it up by baking a cake… which slightly fell apart along the way 😅. But instead of giving up, we made the best of it, got creative, and turned it into something fantastic. In the end, it almost looked like a giant donut – and it tasted just as amazing as it looked! 🍩

Such a great reminder that teamwork, positivity, and a little creativity can turn anything into a success. So proud of everyone today! 💛

✨ Employee Spotlight: Rachael ✨

This week we’re excited to shine the spotlight on Rachael! Before joining possAbilities, Rachael worked as an Assistant Store Manager in the audiology industry, but her passion for supporting others has always been part of who she is.

Growing up in a family with a range of disabilities, she naturally gravitated toward caring roles. She spent five years working in childcare, often supporting children on the spectrum, and in 2020 she stepped into her first support work role helping a friend’s family — and completely fell in love with the work.

Rachael joined possAbilities in mid last year, and even though she’s a newer team member, it honestly feels like she’s always been part of the team. Her compassion, experience, and genuine care make her a wonderful asset to possAbilities, and we’re so glad to have her with us! 💙👏
