Here is a great post about the importance of Nutrition to help kick of Nutriton Month for March. Nutrition is such an important part of having a healthy life and I want everyone to really take this time to reflect on how you can incorporate healthy choices into your life. I know it can seem overwhelming, but don't try to do it all at once, just pick one thing you can work on and start there. All great things start with one moment and once choice. You can do it!! https://www.stephaniemcmanus.net/post/nutrition-month

January 2022 is Thyroid Awareness Month. I just wanted to share a tidbit of my story. As I continue to get settled into my new home, I will have access to my healing text books, so I will be able to go more in depth in the future when it comes to explaining the disease. For now, this is just a snippet of my personal experience. You can read about it here https://www.stephaniemcmanus.net/post/thyroid-awareness-month-january-2022

The thyroid is such an important part of the body, and I hope each of you are taking the time to nurture it through stress release, such as yoga, tai chi, a hot bath, or whatever helps YOU let go. When you feed your body healthy nutrition, you are helping your body function at it's best, which includes the thyroid! Do your best to make healthy choices when it comes to your diet. Also, make sure to get out and MOVE! It is so good for your mind AND body. Your thyroid will be one of the many parts of your body to thank you 🧡

January is Thyroid Awareness Month in the United States. This is an important topic to me because I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in my mid 20's and I have struggled with my health ever since. I wish that I could tell you that I took charge of my health at the time I was diagnosed and that I was...

I just finalized and posted my blog on my reflections for 2021, titled Letting Go. You can check it out here https://www.stephaniemcmanus.net/post/the-art-of-letting-go . As I was proofing it (not my strong suit 😂), and I started to reflect on all the beautiful posts everyone has put up and it made me feel hopeful for the coming year.

While I was reading everyone's posts, someone had stated that they were not doing resolutions this year, but instead were picking words that would coincide with their intentions for 2022. I found this very interesting. I remember listening to a podcast where Oprah talked about the moment in her career where she started doing everything with intention. She spoke about implementing that in her show and personal life, and firmly believes that is why her business and her life have been so successful. Everything she does, she does with intention. So when I read this particular post from a friend, it really resonated with me. I asked myself, "Stephanie, what is your intention for 2022?" The answer was surprisingly clear for me and I jotted them in my planner so I can see them everyday. My words are:

Intention
Letting Go
Trapeze
Growth
Worthy
Clarity
Aliveness
Faith
Love
Peace

Another thing I am doing this year is to use my planner as a gratitude journal. I have set the intention of writing one thing I am grateful for everyday. I think it will be very meaningful to look back someday, especially in times of challenge, and be able to see all the wonderful moments I have been grateful for in my life.

I am looking forward to whatever this year brings and wishing you all a year filled with joy, health, and happiness. Cheers!

Here we are, another year has come to an end, and I am forever grateful to write down one more in the books. This year, as I reflect on my life and where I am at, I find that I am getting ready to start a whole new chapter. It is not a new concept for me, I have known it was coming for some time, bu...

I recently read a poem by Oriah Mountain Dreamer titled "The Invitation", recommended to me from my Ayurvedic teacher. This poem resonated with me to the core of my soul and I wrote a blog post about it here https://www.stephaniemcmanus.net/post/what-s-in-a-name. I wanted to post the poem here on Instagram so I could share it with everyone, but, of course, it does not fit no matter how I slice and dice it. So frustrating!! Her writing really spoke to me and I hope it speaks to some of you too. Here is a snippet, so you can decide for yourself if you want more:

It doesn’t interest me what “planets are squaring your moon”.
I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life’s betrayals -- or, have become shriveled and closed from fear of further pain.
I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to “hide it” or “fade it” or “fix it”.
I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own; if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes! -- without cautioning us to “be careful”, “be realistic”, or to “remember the limitations of being human”.
It doesn’t interest me if the story you’re telling me is true.
I want to know if you can disappoint another -- to be true to yourself.
If you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul.
I want to know if you can be faithful, and therefore be trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see beauty even when it is not pretty every day, and if you can source your life from God’s presence.
I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine, and still stand on the edge of a lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, “Yes!”

Go to my blog post or google "The Invitation" by Oriah Mountain Dreamer. So Beautiful ❤
