Happy Friday everyone!

Losing weight can be daunting sometimes. You think you have to eliminate all sweets to see one pound less on the scale. 😡Which leaves you feeling frustrated and ultimately giving up.

It’s time to start living these words.

What if you had a friend, someone you cared deeply for, who every time you called them, this was their response:

“Sorry I can’t talk right now, I’m so busy - bye”. How would you feel? Frustrated? Hurt? Unappreciated?

Not cool, huh?

I challenge YOU to treat YOURSELF better than that. When you prioritize your well-being, you’ll walk taller, smile more, and everyone you touch will see the light within you.

The Office on Women’s Health created National Women’s Health Week to encourage all women to make the choices which are right for them.
Starting with Mother’s Day, this week is a time to remember to care for ourselves in the way that we always care for others.

Some ideas:

-go for a spa treatment..or treatments!
-take a long walk with friends
-treat yourself to a shopping trip
Even more important:
-make that doctors appointment you’ve been putting off for later 💜

Or..start a new habit by:

-going to bed earlier
-incorporating regular movement into your routine
-cooking more meals at home

Process vs Outcome

- I want to lose weight
- I want to run a 5K

â˜đŸŸExamples of Outcome goals

- I will eat meals when hungry that contain lean proteins/vegetables and healthy fats
- I will walk for 30 minutes 4 times a week

â˜đŸŸExamples of Process goals

Outcome goals illustrate where you want to go, process goals are how you get there. If we only focus on the outcome, it can lead to frustration, “Why can’t I do this?” “What am I doing wrong?” and even giving up.

But if we focus on the PROCESS, the OUTCOME moves closer to us. We are back in control of our future.

So how can we prioritize process over outcome?

1-First, solidify your ideal outcome. If you want to lose weight, decide why this is important to you. If your desire is based upon what you think you should be, this is not your outcome..decide what you want to achieve that will be in your best interest.

2-Map out the action steps that it will take to achieve this outcome
HINT..this is where a coach (ME đŸ™‹đŸŸâ€â™€ïž) can help.

3-Decide on the best method for YOU to track your progress. There is no improvement without measurement. A coach can also help with this too!

A growth mindset is key to making sustainable changes. Have a plan, put in the work, and make sure you CELEBRATE EVERY SUCCESS along the way.
