Interesting Immune System FACTS
The world today now in the death grip of a global pandemic, manifested in the form of corona virus. But reality is that a plethora of diseases are prematurely killing us, lowering our quality of life, jeopardizing our standard of living, and threatening future generations and even life as we know it on planet Earth.
The attempts to manage this problem through the efforts of The American Allopathic Health Care System, which is in reality a disease care system, has failed us. Our health care professionals do not believe that chronic illnesses can be cured or prevented. This deadly opinion must be changed! Indeed, this ineffective, extremely expensive, and in many cases, primitive approach to health care must have a complete overhauled attitude adjustment. We believe with many other scientists and health professionals, that, nearly anyone can prevent or reverse almost any disease, even without drugs or surgery, by supporting the body’s own immune system and feeding the body at the cellular level.
According to Dr. Raymond Frances, D.Sc., M.Sc., R.N.C. an internationally recognized leader in the field of optimal health, in his book, The GREAT AMERICAN HEALTH HOAX, states: “More than seventy-five percent of our population now has a diagnosable chronic disease. Sixty-four percent currently take medications and it is getting worse every year.” He goes on to say that “two out of three Americans believe themselves to be in “good” or “excellent” health. How can you think you are in good health when you are taking medications and experiencing symptoms of disease?” Dr. Frances and other health professionals tell us that young people of 18 years and younger are now suffering from chronic diseases. Deaths from cancer, asthma, diabetes, obesity, and infectious disease continue to increase.
What if we could find a way to build an immune defense for the human body without drugs and other immo-suppressant therapies? What if we could construct with proper nutrition a SUPER IMMUNITY for the body to fight off diseases of the body? According to Dr. Joel Fuhrman, M.D., who is a board-certified family physician, specializing in preventing and reversing disease through nutritional and natural methods, “Evidence exists demonstrating that the human immune system can be SUPERCHARGED to protect our bodies against disease.”
Indeed, many holistic health practitioners and naturopathic doctors’ approach to the problem of dis-ease in the body as an absence of health. We do not try to cover up the symptoms with toxic drugs and/or surgery. Naturopaths, Integrated Medical and Holistic Health Care Practitioners and nurses look at the body’s functions as a whole and not sliced up in sections of the physique. We see the progression of disease as a twofold problem.
#1. We ask the questions: Why are the body cells not functioning in harmony as God created them to do? Why are the cells not getting adequate nutrients for good health and harmony?
#2. Why are the cells in the organs of the body full of toxins and poisons? How can we clean the body up from these sickeners?
By definition dis-EASE is the result of STRESS. It is manifested when a person violates any one of the EIGHT LAWS OF HEALTH. SUNLIGHT, TEMPERANCE, fresh AIR, adequate REST, TRUST in God, NUTRITION, EXERCISE, and sufficient pure WATER.

By maximizing the function and protective potential of the human immune system, we can EARN SUPER IMMUNITY.” This is not done by a quick fix, Dear Friends, we are talking about practicing a Scientific Life Style for the rest of your life. Don’t you want natural resistance from flu and other diseases and feel happy and well and energetic every morning when you wake up from a deep and restful slumber every day?
Living life every day has its mountain top days and deep valley days. This is true! But, Dr. Furman, M.D., Dr. Francis, Ph. D., Dr. Linda Rector/Page, N.D., Ph.D. and many other health professionals agree that our health care systems and even most health professionals need to embrace and entire paradigm shift in how we understand our health and wellness.
Most people in America are immersed in a DIETARY DISASTER emanating from the ingestion of junk foods, simple carbs, and processed foods. Much of our population never or almost never, eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Almost all Americans are deficient in plant imputed phytochemicals. The effects of this is crippling the American human immune systems. These phytochemicals ARE NOT OPTIONAL! You can not have a lifetime of good health without them. We often damage ourselves with the ingestion of toxic, purulent causing diets which can promote disease within the “BODY TEMPLE”. (Book by Duane & Nancy McEndree) Our bodies are self-healing and highly resilient but we cannot escape the biological Health Laws of cause and effect.
We have data that shows us that about 10 percent of the U.S. citizens get influenza each year. About 100,000 are hospitalized for this flu, and approximately 36,000 Americans die from complications or the flu each year. Americans, today, are very concerned about contracting the coronavirus. The good news is that, for the most part, if you are generally healthy and eat a healthy diet consisting of fruits, nuts, seeds, and vegetables your immune system is strong enough to fight off all pathogens.
Immune System and How It Works
The Immune System and the Lymphatic System work closely with each other. The Immune System goes to war in the human body with numberless army legions that act as vicious fighting commandos and war machines. Then, the Lymphatic System cleans up the degree and carnage of the battle. When the Immune System is healthy and functioning properly, it is able to identify invading bacteria, viruses and parasites that have invaded the body. This becomes all-out war with may-ham and carnage. The Immune System can selectively attack the enemy invader. It acts as a circulating drone on guard that annihilates and demolishes the enemy. The Immune System is made up of active platoons comprised of: The skin, the bone marrow, the spleen, the thymus and white blood cells. White blood cells contain anti-bodies (immunoglobulins), B-cells, T-cells, and their military abilities. Lymphocytes act as the body’s primary defense. They act as the brave Marines that are the first line of defense in our military.
There are seven types of warriors in the Immune System – (See: The Body Temple by Duane & Nancy McEndree)
1. B cells: These cells change into an antibody-secreting plasma cell when stimulated by an antigen.
2. Plasma cells: These cells secrete antibodies that mark foreign substances for destruction.
3. Helper T-cells: These cells activate the B cells after they encounter specific antigens by releasing a B-cell growth factor. This is necessary for appropriate responses of natural T cells and suppressor T cells to antigens. The responses also activate lymphokines that activate the microphages.
4. Killer T cells: The killer T cells attack any foreign microorganism.
5. Suppressor T cells: Suppressor cells suppresses the autoimmune responses, excessive antibody production; regulates activities of natural killer T cells; and inhibits development of B cells into plasma cells.
6. Memory T cells: These cells remember and identify antigens during later infections.
7. Macrophage: These macrophages ingest microorganisms and present antigens to the T cells to initiate specific immune responses.
The Immune System is always on muster duty. It is always on search and destroy duty, constantly searching for toxic proteins called antigens such as drugs, pollens, insect venoms, and chemical preservatives in food. There are five phases of the battle: Recognition of the enemy; amplification of defenses; the attack; the clean up as the warriors go home; and the setting up of the watchmen.
Prostaglandins are a part of the Immune System. These immune soldiers are on “kitchen duty” and work in the “mess hall”. They are a platoon that are made up of unsaturated fatty acids and mediators surging throughout the tissues and body fluids. Prostaglandins can both stimulate and inhibit immune responses. They are responsible for inflammation or “heating up” the body with swelling, pain, stiffness, redness, and elevated temperatures. Fever is and can be a friend. When the body heats up with inflammation, it can “cook” and “kill” the pathogens in the body to fight off infection.
The Immune System is linked to a “River of Blood and Lymph”
Approximately 5 liters of blood and lymph comprise the Immune System. Together, this blood and lymph militia make up the bodies complex fighting machine. Within this militia, there are two different types of white blood cells. They are the phagocytes and the lymphocytes. Phagocytes swim through thru the blood system and tissues to ingest and absorb pathogen invaders. When a phagocyte has absorbed a pathogen, it sends out a chemical that helps lymphocytes identify what kind of pathogen it is. Each pathogen carries a specific type of antigen, but the lymphocytes carries and identifying destructive missile that is on search and destroy duty and intercepts the pathogens and “blows them up” (so to speak). If the same pathogen infects the body a second time, the body’s immune system can quickly manufacture antibodies as antibodies that intercept and kill the pathogens. These brave immune soldiers live only a few weeks and are replaced by new cells. A single drop can contain up to 25,000 white blood cells. An example of the antibodies made by the immune system are antibodies against measles. One infection from measles is usually enough to protect for one for life time because once the body comes in contact with a foreign substance, it remembers it and how to make the missile antibodies to kill it.
HOW TO BUILD A SUPER IMMUNE SYSTEM
There may be many reasons why a person gets a viral infection, including the coronavirus. There are reasons why one person will recover from the virus, so many may recover quickly, some will drag on and be very sick, some will recover and some won’t. Some will die. There are some things about this pandemic and other sickness and disease that we don’t know, but here is one thine we know; if we want to live and recover from dis-ease, KEEP THE BODY IMMUNE SYSTEM STRONG! As health professionals, this is the most important thing that can be done to ensure good health and recover from illness.
How do we build a super immune system? Why are more and more of our population world wide getting sick? In the United States we invest more and more of our gross income in questing for good health. Why are we and our children getting sicker and sicker? According to Dr. Raymond Frances, Ph.D. Certified Nutritional Specialist: “Unfortunately most Americans actively sabotage their immunity daily by eating the deadly metabolic poison know as refined sugar.” Even a couple of teaspoons of this sugar is enough to suppress the body’s immune responses for up to eight hours.
So now we are embroiled in a warfare that experts say is harder to kick than co***ne addiction.
In 1986, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a report on the American sugar consumption and its possible ill effects on health. The report was based on information from medical journals. One conclusion indicated that the consumption of sugar in large quantities – anywhere from 25 to 50 percent or more of ones caloric intake could result in one or more of the following complications: diabetes mellitus, glucose intolerance, hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, cardiovascular risks, behavioral changes, excess calcium secretion in the urine, gallstones and mineral deficiencies. This report was printed in 1985. It concluded that it was based on consuming 124 pounds of sugar per year per person. Today, the average American consumes almost 152 pounds in one year. This is equal to 3 pounds (or six cups) of sugar in one week! Nutritionists suggest that Americans should get only 10% of their calories from sugar. This equals 13.3 teaspoons of sugar per day (based on 2000 calories per day). Information taken from the internet. Sugar is found everywhere in our food supply, and almost everyone eats it daily.
White sugar, as we know it, was first introduced in 1812 in America. By 1900, per person consumption was less than 10 pounds per year. Today most Americans now get about 20 percent of their calories from sugar. We don’t want to sound redundant but this concept is vital. Eating only 2 teaspoons of sugar creates wide ranges of deficiencies for a period of 6 to 8 hours in the immune system and can cause massive cellular malfunctions. Many Americans drink coffee, tea, and soft drinks throughout the day loaded with this deadly poison.
Dear Reader, are you beginning to understand what sugar is doing to the Body Temple? I will end this information on sugar with this admonishment. Sugar is a leading cause of disease and infections in the body. Sugar depresses immunity by suppressing Vitamin C metabolism. The immune system needs to use Vitamin C to function normally. Sugar and Vitamin C have similar chemical structures as the concept of lock and key confirms. So, sugar and Vitamin C compete with one another to enter into the cell by the same portal. When the system is saturated with sugar in the body, Vitamin C cannot enter into the bodies cells. Without adequate amounts of Vitamin C, the immune system becomes severely compromised.
AVOID THE FOLLOWING NON-FOOD ITEMS when building the immune system:
1. Trans Fats: When you see foods than contain trans-fats, hydrogenated oil, or partially hydrogenated oils, LEAVE THEM WHERE YOU FOUND THEM on the shelf in the store – they are unfit for consumption. Unlike other fats trans-fats both raise your LDL Cholesterol (bad cholesterol, or Lousy cholesterol) and lowers your good HDL, (or Happy Heart Cholesterol). Always avoid non foods that contain trans-fat.
2. Saturated Fats: This type of non-food, clogs up the arteries. Nutritionists confirm that coconut oil is the exception. Why could this coconut oil be the exception? Could it be that it was made by God with medium chain triglycerides (MCTs), and man has not messed with the construction of this marvelous fruit. Indeed, the name coconut suggests that a coconut is a nut, but in fact botanically it is a kind of fruit that is characterized by a fleshy outer layer. This kind of fruit is called a drupe. Some other examples of drupes include nectarines, pistachios, almonds, and mangoes. Finally, for those with cholesterol problems, one study found that people with high triglyceride levels who were given medium chain fatty acids for eight weeks had a 14.5 % decrease in their triglyceride levels. Making avocados a part of your healthy diet is a delicious way to be good to your heart. Avocados are 2.1 grams of saturated fat. A 100-gram serving of avocado contains 160 calories of saturated fat, with 14.7 grams of total fat made up of 2.1 grams of saturated fat unsaturated fat and 9.8 grams of monounsaturated fat. Eat these two fruits EVERY DAY!
3. High Fructose Corn Syrup: In our opinion high fructose corn syrup may be more dangerous to your health than sucrose or white sugar. It seems to be found everywhere including: Sodas, jellies, pastries, hamburgers, ketchup, salad dressing, and many other dainties. Studies show that fructose is even more malevolent and harmful than many people think. It causes an imbalance and a renegade appetite which results hormones to spin out of control and induces people to feel hungry and eat more. High fructose corn syrup causes an increase in triglyceride levels which is stored as fat which in turn can cause insulin resistance, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. Studies have shown that when animals were fed high fructose corn sugar, they rapidly became obese. This begs the question: Why do you think manufactures of soft drinks and juices add high fructose corn sugar to their beverage? Easy answer – YES!
4. Again – SUGAR: Be sure to look at the sugar content of foods before eating it. About eighty-five different forms of sugar are found in processed foods. Below is a list of some of the names of sugar that are hid by manufacturers in making their products:

barley malt
beet sugar
brown rice syrup
brown sugar
cane sugar
confectioner’s sugar
corn syrup
dextrose
evaporated cane juice
fructose
fruit juice concentrate
fruit juice
glucose
high-fructose corn syrup
honey
lactose
malt syrup
maltodextrin
maltose
maple syrup
molasses
organic sugar
raw sugar
sugar
sugar cane syrup
turbinado sugar

Almost every doctor that has ever studied the effects of sugar including allopath’s, holistic, and neuropathic doctors echo the sentiment that “SUGAR IS ONE OF THE MOST DANGEROUS NON-FOOD things that can be consumed.” It is more deadly and worse than co***ne. After in-gestation, sugar suppresses the body’s immune response for up to six to eight hours, and it kills pathogens by up to 50%. Did you know, Dear Reader, if you drink one can of soda, you are ingesting up to ten teaspoons of sugar? This means that when one constantly munches on junk food and drinks of any kind, they are in effect crippling their immune systems. God’s Holy Bible makes this statement in Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”
On a personal note, approximately 1 month ago, Nancy decided that she needed to get rid of sugar in her diet. As she read and researched more and more about the horrors of ingesting sugar, she determined rid herself of this horrible habit. As the Good Book says: “To those that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, TO HIM (OR SHE) IT IS SIN.” (James 4:7) GOD HAS BLESSED!
5.Monosodium Glutamate: MSG is a flavor enhancer commonly added to food to supposedly make the food taste better. MSG is an excitotoxin that overstimulates brain cells and nerves that leads to cellular death and neurological inflammation. These actions can incite a wide variety of symptoms including excitability, restlessness, brain dysfunction, irritability, obsessive compulsive behaviors, insomnia, anxiety, fear, panic, migraine headache, self-stimulatory behaviors, and a craving for sugar, carbs, drugs and alcohol. The best way to keep your body and brain safe is to avoid foods containing MSG.
6. Artificial Coloring: This is a food TOXIN and a chemical additive. These toxins can make you sick and fat. Even prescription drugs can be hued with artificial food colorings. Food chemical colors added to foods can be a crippler, for anyone with autism. Example: Think of candy and cereal. As toxins accumulate in our bodies, normal cell functions is increasingly impaired, and premature aging along with health problems of every description, including overweight ensues. If you want a super immunity – DON’T INGEST COLOR DYES.
7. Artificial Sweeteners: Processed foods, including Jell-O, ice cream, popsicles, baked goods, chewing gum, sodas, and other non-foods often contain artificial sweeteners. Many children are hooked on these health destroying temptations. Many people seeking to control health problems like diabetes or trying to cut calories have resorted to these unnatural, synthetic chemicals called sweeteners. These artificial sweeteners are called names like Aspartames (Nutra Sweet), Sucralose (Splenda), Saccharin (Sweet N Low) and others. Scientific data indicates that these products are actually neurotoxins called excitotoxins. These chemicals alter brain functions, cause damage to neurons of the brain, and create organ malfunctions.
