Tarot is an invaluable tool for growth, and my deepest desire is to make it accessible to others. When I discovered tarot it gave order to divination I had been doing all my life instinctively. I feel at home when I am reading, and it has been a huge part of my personal growth. It is my priority to make as many connections as I can from what is revealed, leaving you with a comprehensive and clear reading. In addition, my experience as a trans/queer person allows me to see deeper than traditional tarot interpretation that may be limited by social norms of gender and sexuality.. YEAR THREE - EMPRESS & HANGED ONE - RELEASE AND REBIRTH⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2020 is a personal year three for me, of the Emprexx, and before reducing the number to three, it is a twelve, of the Hanged One. These powerful cards have been guiding my intentions and reflections in these tender first days of the new year, and they have guided me towards goals, intentions, and decisions for the betterment of my health and happiness.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I have decided, for many reasons, to pause my Patreon creator account at the end of this month. Although Patreon has offered me an amazing sense of community support at its best, the pressure to create content fitting within certain mediums, topics, and time-frames has begun feeling more of an obligation than an opportunity. I still have so much to share, an infinite amount of ideas and perspectives on the great and powerful tarot, life as a witch and diviner, and experience as a q***r and trans person. But the way in which I share these ideas and stories must change if I want to preserve the authenticity of my creations. The Emprexx asks me to be beholden to my passion, and the Hanged One asks me to be beholden to my need for transformation, always looking to the next great thing. I will be centering my content around instagram and my website, slowly moving over all my Patreon posts to my blog there. THE NAMING OF THE CRUX TAROT

The naming of my deck was something that took a lot of thought, but ultimately came to me in a flash of inspiration. This word, crux, is short but meaningful. Perfect for a minimalist deck that reimagines the tarot.

Crux is defined as both the decisive or most important point at issue, and a particular point of difficulty. It is the crossroads, the intersection. The point of arrival as it is known by its journey and origin. It is the flag flown on Judgement, symbolizing the divine meeting the mundane. It is the moment of awakening when your world broadens to the realities of other paths.

KING OF SWORDS ➡ THE WELL (R)
Virgo season has done me both a service and created friction. Though it is always a good lesson for me to learn how to be more comfortable on my own and how to feel grounded, I am certainly not in my element. Much of Virgo season I spent with a harsh grip on my communicative side, trying to reconsile my air energy with all the earth the month demanded. ♍♎♍♎♍♎♍♎♍♎♍
In comes The Well, a symbol of truth, inspiration, and the origin of all that we encounter. The spark that is inherent to human experience. Libra season comes as a relief, being an air sign, but also as it relates to the bigger picture. We are leaving a place of solitude and self criticism, and moving into a more worldly awareness. How do the lessons we learned impact how we will reach out? How have our perspectives been changed, or our outlooks improved? How can we accept and put to good use the blessing of collective inspiration and purpose? How can we be more honest about our truth, and more respectful of the truths of others?

While every season has its challenges, I am relieved to finally be leaving virgo season. My hope is that things will now fall into place again, and I can return to this work I love to do. Due to lots of things that are outside of my control, my time has been very restricted when it comes to even personal practice and healing myself, let alone engaging in reading for others. It pains me to be this distant from my practice and my passion, but I know things are changing. Finding a rhythm and balance in things is part of what Libra is all about, so I look forward to recieving that blessing!

Since realizing I am nonbinary, I have abandoned the use of most masculine labels, but FTM still has a place in my vocabulary. Despite the many qualms I and many others have with it, it continues to be commonly used. How is FTM potentially harmful, and why do so many still use it to navigate spaces?

MODERN DIVINATION: An Inclusive Perspective

I believe that tarot’s greatest use is as a tool for healing and growth, both in the community and the individual. As a transgender and q***r person, I make it a point to approach tarot with a perspective that is inclusive to all. The core of my reading style is looking deeper than social traditions and stereotypes to read in a way that connects to every individual, no matter who they are.

To allow tarot to be an effective tool for growth for all, I prioritize the roots of tarot: the journey toward enlightenment, and the open mindedness that journey requires of us. I actively seek to leave behind the restrictive imagery and narratives imposed on the tarot, and build community around voices bringing tarot into the struggle for personal liberation, and the liberation of our communities.

My approach to tarot is centered around a non-hierarchical, non-binary, and non-judgmental perspective. I read archetypes of gender and sexuality presented in the tarot as empowering symbolism instead of confining stereotypes, offering tarot’s great guidance to those who have been ignored, erased, and even vilified within the conversation of tarot and spirituality.
