A pedestrian died after being struck by a truck on the B2 road, approximately 36 km from Karibib towards Okahandja, late on Monday night. According to police, the accident occurred at around 23:35 when a 54-year-old Namibian man driving a truck from Walvis Bay to Windhoek allegedly hit a male pedestrian who appeared on the roadway. The pedestrian died at the scene.
The deceased has not yet been identified, and police have appealed to the public for assistance. Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Inspector Shashipapo Muduva on 081 213 7799 or the nearest police station.
