Over 140 BAYADA advocates joined hundreds of others in Harrisburg, PA, for Pennsylvania Advocacy Day. Together, they gathered with a shared purpose: to keep the voices of caregivers, clients, and their families at the center of every conversation.

They met with state legislators to advocate for increased reimbursement rates for Direct Care Workers (DCWs), Home Health Aides (HHAs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Registered Nurses (RNs) across Pennsylvania. They shared how our caregivers and clinicians are at the heart of helping our clients stay healthy and remain safe at home.

We are so grateful for all our BAYADA advocates who joined Hearts for Home Care alongside the Pennsylvania Homecare Association, bringing their passion to creating meaningful change for our clients and caregivers.

Occupational therapy isn’t just rehab. It’s independence.

Helping someone dress themselves again. Cook safely. Navigate their own home with confidence.

As more care moves out of hospitals and into homes, therapy roles are becoming even more critical.

And yes — this is expertise that can’t be replaced by automation.

Home is where healing and independence happen. Join our team and help make it possible.

"Leading change toward a sustainable future, to me, is about shaping the world we want children and each other to inherit. It’s proving through action that we can thrive even when the path is hard, and then turning that lived experience into a foundation others can stand on."
– BT, BAYADA Senior Manager, Talent Experience & Enablement

BT’s values and experiences as a leader are deeply rooted in community and caregiving—foundations that have taught her empathy, flexibility, and the power of showing up for others. She strives to be the person her younger self needed, inspired by a community that showed her mentorship is about generously pouring into others.

She is no stranger to making people feel seen, both in the workplace and in the community. BT is also the author of the children’s book, "No Two Families Are the Same", which invites readers to broaden their perspectives, challenge assumptions, and create spaces where people can see themselves and others through a powerful sense of belonging.

We are inspired by BT’s leadership and her commitment to helping our BAYADA community feel seen, valued, and supported—today and for the future we are building together. ❤️

"Flexibility showed up for me in a very real and human way when my son became seriously ill. In that moment, everything else faded into the background, and I needed to step away without knowing exactly when I’d be able to return. My manager didn’t just understand—she encouraged me to take the time I needed and made it clear that my only priority should be my son’s recovery. There was no pressure, no guilt, and no countdown clock. I was told to come back when he was fully recovered, and that level of trust meant everything." – Rennie

When life demanded more at home, more than once, Rennie was supported by her manager and team, who met her situation with compassion and understanding. Instead of asking about work, they asked how she was truly doing. The flexibility her team provided during those moments reminded her of how powerful empathy can be in the workplace, especially for women who carry multiple caregiving responsibilities at once.

At BAYADA, we understand that life happens, and women are supported during the moments when everything can feel like a lot. Learn more about being part of a team that supports you by joining our team through the link in our comments.

"Nancy truly demonstrates what it means to care about people and make a difference. She is the kind of person who remembers conversations, picks up right where you left off, and recognizes others in ways that are specific and sincere because she means what she says. Those little things show how much she values relationships and make everyone feel seen." - Lisa B., BAYADA Director

The BAYADA Mary Hockstein Award for Excellence in Enterprise Support Leadership celebrates director-level and below support leaders who bring “The BAYADA Way” to life behind the scenes. Nancy Brickman, Director of Talent Management, was recently nominated for this award, and her team went all out to celebrate her.

Watch to see how they surprised Nancy and honored her for this nomination. Thank you, Nancy, for the incredible impact you have and for all you do for BAYADA.

Carol was the one who encouraged her to join the ERC, which she says has "changed the way I showed up at BAYADA and opened doors I didn't even know were there." Lisa has helped her navigate her career with guidance and direction to giver her the confidence she needed.

The true success of our clinicians is found in heartfelt moments like the one shared between BAYADA Physical Therapist (PT) Sam and his client, Marguerite, upon her final discharge. Following a fall, Marguerite suffered a right knee laceration, along with pneumonia and heart failure, which left her primarily wheelchair-bound after her hospitalization. At her start of care, her personal goal was to walk in her kitchen again.

With the support of her PT Sam, Physical Therapist Assistant Stephen, and Occupational Therapist Jennifer, she not only met, but exceeded that goal. She surprised herself as she was able to walk not just in her kitchen, but all throughout her home and back to her door, which she had not been able to do in quite some time. This milestone reflects the power of interdisciplinary therapy and truly patient-centered care.

Watch the video to witness this heartfelt moment between Sam and Marguerite, beautifully captured on camera. We are so proud of the clinicians who made this moment possible at. ❤️
