Can you say this boldy? I love me because I'm me!

I had a proud mom moment when my 3 year old said this the other day. As part of our night time routine, I sing a made up 'I love you' jingle to each of my boys, and I end with singing it to myself.

In a world where self- esteem, confidence, and love are often challenged. Robbing one of happiness and peace. Hindering one from pursing purpose and making healthy relationships. Affecting children, teens, and adults alike.

If our children loved themselves for who they were created to be, would they perceive anything unpleasant said against them to be nonsense and invalid? Would they walk boldly? Would they love others for who they are?

How about if adults loved themselves for who they are?

a sign of resilience, devotion, resourcefulness...
more than just a cool artifact...
lessons, bonding, family, together...
generations, history, riches, blessings....

Happy New Month!
Whether this year has started on a high note or a low note... you are crushing your goals or you feel like the odds are crushing you... you are enjoying the manifestation of promises and hopes or you are waiting in anticipation for things to unfold;

May this month bring wholeness, restoration, peace, grace, love, hope, forgiveness, strength, victories, healing, joy, renewed faith, provision... and anything else you need to thrive purposefully this month and beyond.

Have you ever said or thought this?

These two words are are impactful. I believe that our thoughts and our words are driving forces for our actions.

What do you mean and what is your intention when you say "I can't"?

-It seems too difficult
-I've made many unsuccessful attempts
-I need help
-I don't want to
-I'm scared

You'd be surprised what's hiding under the words "I can't"... it's raw and beautiful. It hits the core, but when you get there you'll discover what you actually can do.

There is sufficient grace for your God- given and inspired visions, passions, gifts/talents desires and roles. Are you ready to tap into it?

As you plan your week, consider:

P- Prioritize your intentions & write them out.

L- Leave room for changes.

A- Action steps will simplify your intentions and make them reality; but anticipate barriers.

N- Note things you'll need and have them available ahead of time.

Whether you hope to prevent the effects of stress or you wish to get some relief from stress, there are simple practices that can help.

I've realized that often, when you provide yourself with the space and time; and are intentional with your actions, your mind and body will respond positively.

Take deep breathing for example, while not everyone finds it effects, many people will experience both mental and physical benefits from the simple practice.

When you commit a few minutes to slowing down and increasing the depth of your breathing mindfully, your body will know how to respond.

How do you intend to nurture yourself this weekend?
