Hello to this most amazing group of Jude supporters! I am writing to you today in place of Jessica and Alex. As they have had quite a long day! I’m sure you all can imagine.
Jude’s surgery was supposed to be an eight hour day. It ended up being a little over four hours! Now, that is an answer to so many prayers and positive vibes! It went very well. He fell asleep easily. His blood pressure was a bit low but they gave him some medication to help that. They did end up having to take a piece of his hip bone to help fuse the vertebrae. And while it was just a great success, it’s a bit tough because they had to fuse to C3. We really had hoped it wouldn’t be down that far.
Jude is recovering like the champ he is. Not to mention his mom and dad have not left his side. Jes is an advocate like no other. And with her, there is no way Jude won’t keep conquering!
Jessica wanted me to pass on how extremely grateful she is to each and everyone of you. So much so, that she is at a loss for words. You know that feeling? Overwhelmed.
At this point we are praying for Jude to keep up his amazing recovery. And strength for Jes and Alex. They are so relieved and yet it is so difficult.
This family is as strong as you get! Let’s keep the rally going though, to give them that extra push as they reach the finish line!
