When travelling we always look at new and interesting foods, but namely how other countries label they're foods is really fascinating to us.

We've probably all heard of the traffic light system used in the UK, this is a useful tool in assessing the macronutrient content of foods.

Traffic light labelling is a fantastic tool for giving a consumer an immediate look at whether an item is 'healthy' or 'unhealthy'. But what it fails to tell you is why it is red.

If you take for example orange juice Vs fizzy drinks. Both will be red for sugar content, so a consumer may think, "well, I may as well have the fizzy drink."

This is where we need to be careful. But, we think there is a solution which solves some of this problem.

For example, in France they invented a new way of categorising how healthy foods are. This soon caught on and other countries such as Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Netherlands adopted this approach too.

As you can see from the picture, it is very simple, foods labelled A are the healthiest going all the way down to E which are labelled as unhealthy choices.

Although this doesn't necessarily address the 'why' regarding why some foods are healthy and some are not, it does make the context much clearer for the consumer, and anything that makes it easier for the consumer to make healthier choices gets a thumbs up from us!

Which do you think is better?

How would you describe your energy?

That’s it. It’s not how much time we have during the day, but how much energy is in us to do all these things. I’m sure you remember the times when you felt unwell, had very little energy and felt miserable. Most likely, the only thing you really wanted then was just to get back to health and enjoy time again.

Why then, do we treat ourselves so bad by overeating, surprising emotions, not sleeping enough and so on. Is our modern world style more important than being able to get up next to the person we love, feeling fresh and ready to do a beautiful job called our masterpiece?

Think about it. We all have a choice. When your phone has only 2% of battery left, you’d charge it right?
So when your body asks for an extra rest, why not doing the same?

It’s said that we are often exhausted not always because we do too many things, but because we do too few things that give us energy.

For me the most powerful thing is spending time with my loved ones, training and reading cool books.

And what are your ways to recharge? 🙏🏼
