We tend to be kinder to others than to ourselves. But the relationship we have with ourselves is the most important one.

I for one am my biggest critic. Sometimes it's hard to be indulgent and accept that I can't be every day at my best. However, I try little by little to be tolerant and replace negative words with positive ones.

How do you treat yourself? And how much attention do you pay to what you tell yourself?

This week we're going to learn more about motivation: what is it, what types of motivation are there, and how do we find/activate it.

As Abraham Lincoln said it: the best time to get things done is today.

There are many theories about procrastinating, and truth is that we can't generalize a single cause of it. To each person it can be a different reason.

So in order to stop procrastinating you could follow these steps:
• ask yourself what is preventing you from completing your task (is it fear of failure, tiredness, lack of motivation, maybe even depression?)
• try to understand the root of the problem and practice self-compassion
• divide the task into smaller bites that seem less daunting
• try to come up with your way of doing the task, if the standard one doesn't work for you
• reward yourself to keep a high level of motivation

Work-life balance is not easy to achieve. But one thing you should keep in mind is that it doesn't look the same for everyone. Instead of trying to find the perfect routine, focus on what balance means to you. Further, discover your boundaries and don't let anyone cross them. That includes you.
