Abilities Midwest is a residential assisted living option for adults with Prader Willi Syndrome.

Our goal is to prove, support, and focus on the abilities, despite the disability, of individuals with Prader Willi. We follow this motto by using programs that have continuously proven to be successful for individuals with PWS. These programs use various motivational incentives to encourage an active, healthy lifestyle through weight loss, weight management, behavioral stabilization, community integration, and much more. Our goal is to provide the necessary supports needed for PWS, without taking out the 'normal' life activities that come in a world that is not designed for PWS. We pre-plan activities to avoid food temptations, encourage a very active lifestyle, increase advocacy for PWS in the work place to allow more employment opportunities, and much more!

Happy National Caregivers Day to all of our wonderful staff at AM! 💚

This Feb 21, 2025, is National Caregivers Day and we’d like to take a moment to honor the caregivers in our loved one’s lives. Caregivers are a critical piece to helping our loved ones with PWS live successful lives. Whether those caregivers come into our home or meet our loved ones in the community, their attention to their safety, dedication to their needs and development, and pursuit of our loved one’s happiness is a balm to the challenges of this disorder. For every caregiver who comes into our lives, whether for a brief period or for decades, we are truly grateful for all of them!

We all had a wonderful time at the PWSA of WI, Inc. Evening of Elegance event!

The AM1 group traveled from River Falls to Pewaukee for the event and enjoyed another year of spending the night at a hotel and exploring the area! It was great to see our friends from AM2 and AM3!
